Nearby you can even drive across the reservoir wall. E� The ex-HMAS Hobart Memorial Lookout pays tribute to the scuttled navy ship sitting off the Yankalilla Bay coastline. You can find it on Main South Road at Lady Bay Gorge. Hamilton Rd TOP SPOT Rolling hills meet sand dunes and white sandy beaches and impossibly blue water in this beautiful part of the world that stretches from Rapid Bay Head to Carrickalinga, encompassing the towns of Rapid Bay, Second Valley, Lady Bay, Normanville, Yankalilla and Carrickalinga. Yankalilla Bay is one of the few places in the world where you can see the rare Leafy Seadragon. Rapid Bay Jetty (one of the best jetty dives in the world) and Second Valley are its favourite haunts. Trying to hook the catch of the day? Then keep an eye on the locals who often try their luck at Port Noarlunga Jetty or the southern beach at the mouth of the Onkaparinga Estuary. Happy fishing! Get into it! 19 Maslin Beach Want to avoid tan lines? You can at Maslins, Australia’s first official nude beach. Look out for the Nude Olympics held each year around Australia Day. Leave McLaren Vale via Tatachilla Road and follow it to the coast. 20 Port Noarlunga Aquatic Reserve You’ll find this amazing marine environment, including a gigantic reef, off the esplanade at Port Noarlunga. Don a snorkel and mask and marvel at the variety of fish.
