allowed in Italy the use of rPET up to 50 %,
as defined with the Regolamento n°113
of the 18th May 2010

 A packaging material which is biodegradable
or compostable is not the right solution for
the environment
 Because all what has been done to obtain the
packaging will be lost during the degradation..

 Energy used to prepare the land, fertilazers,
water, energy to transform the vegetable into
a plastic, all will be transformed in CO2, water,
methane, mineral salts or humus …

 It delivers the right performances in terms
of strength and barrier
 It is fully recyclable allowing to recover its
intrinsic value
 what is missing is a renewable origin, since
any fossil origin is not sustainable ….
PET partially renewable is the answer
PET made from renewable sources :
 Today is becoming available a PET partially
derived from a vegetable source (30 %)
 This is the PET made with MEG coming from
molasses and/or sugar cane
 Sugar cane spontaneously growing without
fertilazers and watering is a sustainable
source

 PET partially made with renewable sources
 Made from MEG derived from Brasilian
sugar cane
 SKUs: 1 lt still and sparkling, 1,5 lt still
 In 2014 we have used 870 tons of such PET
