We were very excited to kick off our 40th anniversary celebration at the start of 2009. The Moorings launched
its first yacht in the British Virgin Islands in 1969 and with it pioneered the charter yacht industry and has now the
largest fleet of charter catamarans in the world. Since that beginning, the fleet has grown to over 800 yachts in 28
destinations around the world. In perfect timing with our 40th Anniversary, we are proud to open our new $15
million Tortola base expansion which includes new hotel rooms, reception area, restaurant/bar and spa to name but
a few of the additions.
Our new Moorings 54.5 built by Beneteau will be the new flagship of The
Moorings monohull fleet. This 5-cabin yacht sets a new standard with features
such as generator, air-conditioning, electric winches, bow thruster, electric toilets
and an inverter. For top performance and comfort the yacht includes dual helms,
colour chart plotter, large cockpit, flat screen TV and DVD player, MP3 connection
and spacious accommodations with four guest cabins, plus a fully air-conditioned
forepeak crew cabin.
This yacht joins our other award-winning monohulls such as the 3-cabin Moorings
43.3, named 2009 Boat of the Year by Cruising World magazine in the special
purpose category, and the all new 4-cabin Moorings 43.4, which includes shore
power air-conditioning, flat screen TV/DVD player and MP3 connections on the
CD/Radio player.

Environmental Leadership
As The Moorings expands and improves its base facilities, environmental initiatives remain the focus, in an
effort to preserve the cruising grounds and coastal beauty for generations to come.
British Virgin Islands Environmental Focus
The new facilities in Tortola have been designed and built with a major focus on enhancing the marine
environment in the Road Town Harbor. The new breakwater that has been built is designed with multiple
channels to allow the natural flow into the harbor and improve seawater circulation. This natural circulation
is assisted through a seawater pump that moves existing water from the harbor entrance into the innermost
portion of the harbor. This pump can circulate enough water to replenish the harbor every 8 days. This
refreshment greatly improves the abundance of sea life and quality of the water in the Road Town harbor.
A desalination plant has been constructed on our base to provide over 60,000 gallons of water per day. A
water recycling system has been incorporated into our laundry area and maintenance facility which saves
millions of gallons of water per year.
Biodegradable Soaps
All Moorings bases worldwide will be using biodegradable soaps for cleaning of the yachts.
Environmentally-Friendly Bottom Paints and Water Filtering
The Moorings uses EPA-approved bottom paints for our hulls to take every precaution possible to protect the
sea. This is taken a step further at The Moorings haul out facilities in The British Virgin Islands, where all of
the runoff from yacht cleaning is contained and filtered before being reintroduced into the environment.
Protecting Our Reefs
The Moorings leads in helping to preserve our reefs through encouragement of our charterers to use mooring
balls rather than anchoring. In locations such as Belize, we are assisting in the funding and placement of new
mooring balls.

Bareboat Sailing Vacations
The Moorings offers self-skippered sailing vacations in over 28 destinations world-wide. We are pleased to
announce three new base openings.
New Bases
With a new location in Phuket, Thailand The Moorings has expanded into the exotic Far East. Phuket and
the Islands of the Andaman Sea are the jewels of Southeast Asia yachting. There are over 50 islands and countless
anchorages to choose from in this diverse cruising ground. You are only a short cruise to Phang Nga Bay, a
marine national park where you will discover the towering limestone islands of Koh Phanak and Koh Hong with
their many caves to explore. Sailing south you will discover the Phi Phi islands which offer dazzling undersea
life with endless opportunities for snorkeling or diving among the numerous reefs and limestone islands. The base
is located only 20 minutes from the Phuket airport at the new Ao Po Grand Marina. This marina offers state of
the art floating docks with water and electricity available at all slips. The marina is conveniently located within 5
minutes of several resort hotels which can provide customers with a range of options for pre or post charter
accommodations. The master plan for the marina village includes additional services such as restaurants, bars,
retail and luxury villas to be completed over the next two years.
The Moorings will also offer the option of one-way charters from Phuket to Langkawi, Malaysia for an
additional fee. This will open up a cruising ground extending 140 miles south of Phuket and will include the
104 islands that make up the Langkawi group.
We have also added a new base in Orhaniye, Turkey which allows the exploration of the best sailing areas that
the Turkish waters have to offer. Orhaniye is ideally located on the west coast of the Hisanoru peninsula with a
mountainous coastline that offers numerous anchorages within easy reach of the base. Stretching for 30 miles into
the Aegean Sea between the Greek Islands of Kos and Rhodes, the peninsula provides a sailor’s paradise with late
morning winds building to 25 knots and deep blue seas with secluded coves, rugged mountains as a backdrop,
and small tranquil villages offering many local Turkish delicacies. The base is also easily accessible from the
airports in Dalaman or Bodrum.
The Moorings moved its northern-most Croatian base to Agana Marina, 10km north of the ancient walled
town of Trogir and just 20 minutes transfer from Split airport. The new base is located in a beautiful, traditional
village and offers direct access to outstanding sailing, with over 30 different islands within the Agana sailing area
alone.
Moving from the previous base of Kremik, the new Moorings Agana base is closer to the airport and is ideally
located for those looking to explore either the north or south Croatian cruising area, both of which boast
stunning national parks, secluded bays and bustling towns full of character. Marina Agana is well protected from
the wind and any swell, and there are several local taverns and restaurants to choose from just two minutes walk
away in the local village, called Marina, which offer delicious, locally caught fish and good quality wines.
Marina is a small Dalmatian village, nestling on the end of the Bay of Marina. Until recently Marina was purely a
settlement of fishermen and farmers; production of olive oil, dried figs and local wine and produce still continues
today. Within walking distance from the Agana base are sandy beaches, and the village is set against a backdrop
of pine forests and olive groves.

The Moorings Power
Leads with 474 and 372 Power Catamarans
We are proud to introduce 2 all-new model power catamarans which are clearly ahead of their time – a 4 cabin
47 foot power cat, and a 2 cabin 37 foot power cat. Conceived between The Moorings, international yacht
builders Robertson & Caine, and architects Morrelli & Melvin, the new Moorings power cats merge the best
design features learned from customer expectations and many years of yacht design. Boasting 3 deck levels with
large functional living spaces, the new Moorings power catamarans offer charterers an ideal cruising platform for
friends and family, with the power to discover more!
The Moorings Power division allows boaters to take the helm of new generation 37-to 47- foot custom
power yachts to cruise hidden coves, untouched beaches and tropical islands in The Virgin Islands, Bahamas,
Baja Mexico, the Seychelles, Australia and Thailand. For clients that are not sure of their boating competence,
or simply want to relax, the company can also provide a captain, or captain and chef for a complete crewed
charter!
Moorings 474 Powercat
The new Moorings 474 PC incorporates design features and synergies of the award winning and ever popular
Moorings 46 foot sailing catamarans. Offered in 3 and 4 cabin configuration models, all models have en-suite
lavatories and stall showers, with additional berths and lavatory in the forepeaks allowing a total sleeping
capacity of up to 12 passengers!
The main-deck incorporates very open planning with outdoor and indoor dining areas, fully equipped galley,
spacious saloon, and a cocktail bar off the galley with serving window onto the cockpit area. The layout is
clear and uncluttered with wide side decks, walk-through access to the aft swim platforms, and an innovative
bench aft which converts to a dinghy landing platform. On the fly bridge, a centrally positioned helm station
offers excellent visibility on all corners of the yacht for ease of maneuvering. The helm station is surrounded by
lounging seating and cocktail tables, with a wet bar. Situated high above the water-line, the fly-bridge allows
customers to fully appreciate their tropical surroundings.
Powered by 2 extremely reliable straight drive 150HP Cummins diesel engines, and coupled with an efficient
hull design based on optimization studies from test tank data, the Moorings 474 PC offers unheard of fuel
efficiency at the 12 – 15 MPH range, and better than average efficiency at higher speeds. Impressively, each
Moorings 474 power cat is delivered across the Atlantic Ocean on its own bottom, under it’s own power!
Moorings 372 Powercat
The Moorings 372PC is the newest in a line of luxury yachts ideal for couples and small families looking for
a freestyle cruising experience. Debuting at the 2008 Annapolis Power Boat show, the 372 PC utilizes the
latest building technology to achieve a light strong structure. Powered by 2 x 110HP Yanmar diesel engines,
the yacht boasts better than average efficiencies and a top speed of 22 MPH. Large usable deck spaces and a
climate controlled interior with indoor and outdoor dining areas, and 2 double cabins with 2 en-suite toilets
and showers offer comfortable accommodations for up to 6 guests.
