WDB_Logo Final_Pantone Break pms 456 pms 269 How the Competition Works Step 1: Apply Workforce Development Board (WDB) is a community based, not-for-profit corporation that serves the cities of Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes and the counties of Northumberland, Peterborough and Haliburton. pms 456 pms 269 • Applications will be available on bearslair.ca on November 16, 2011 • Submit your application to Workforce Development Board by 4:00 pm February 17, 2012 via email [email protected] Step 2: Regional Competition • Applications will be reviewed by a panel consisting of members from WDB, TD Bank and Ontario Centres of Excellence • Four contestants will be selected to compete in each of the four regional competitions • The public is welcome to attend the regional events for free Step 3: Grand Finale • The Grand Finale will take place on May 12, 2012, at Showplace Performance Centre, Peterborough • Four finalists, chosen from the regional competitions, will each pitch their business plans to three Bears in front of an audience of 600 people • The winner will be announced at the finale and will receive a prize package consisting of cash, business products and services Entrepreneurial Competition Information: Interested in entering or sponsoring the competition?
