Our History…
It all started back in 1982 with the launch of the Peterborough Pirates.
After many successful years, triumphs and globally known players,
the Pirates management underwent a massive reorganisation in 2002
and The Phantoms were born.
The team employ both internationals and British players on a
contractual professional basis. Many have represented their country
and at present have many players part of the current GB squads.
We take a tremendous amount of pride in working with strong links
with community-based organisations such as councils, local housing
associations and Sport England among others. This keeps the team
in touch with local communities at all levels.
The Peterborough Phantoms are proud to be the only team in the
English Premier League to have won the Treble (League, Cup and
Playoff trophies) in the same season (2008-09)

Our home, Planet Ice Peterborough is an old and tired,
but fantastic and intimidating venue to opponents. The
facility houses several Ice Hockey teams, has figure
skaters two sessions daily, multiple youth junior squads
as well as an Academy and Learn to Skate Programme.
In addition there are ten public skating sessions a week
with up to 1000 skaters a night. The official figure for the
arena’s footfall is over 500,000 per year.
