The candidates will introduce themselves and then be available to meet with you and answer your questions. You’ll then have the opportunity to anonymously fill out a comment card with your opinion about the candidates, which will be forwarded to the City Manager to assist him in selecting the next Chief. Woods - Interim Chief, Fife, WA Dee-Dee Dukes-Gethers Sworn in to Fife City Council Dee-Dee Dukes-Gethers was sworn in as Position 3 on Thursday, November 24 during a regular Council Meeting. Dee-Dee is a nine year resident of Fife and former Fife City Councilmember. “Thank you to all who supported, voted, allowed signs in your yards and businesses and to my friends who stood out and walked in the rain with me. I’m really looking forward to serving with all of you,” DeeDee said in a comment at the conclusion of the regular meeting. A proposed amendment of the Comprehensive Plan or map may be initiated by the City, a private individual, organization, business, agency or other group. The City of Fife Community Development Department provides application forms to individuals interested in submitting a proposed amendment. Proposed Amendments may be submitted any time, but to be considered in the 2016 Calendar year they must be submitted by January 29, 2016. City staff will contact you if City Council decides to consider your proposal and let you know of any costs. The class discussed economic development, the future of Fife and how the students can influence it. The students learned why Fife doesn’t have a grocery store, Fife’s importance to the national economy and more about our role in a trade-dependent state. Santa Run!
