Among us, we have various lenses through which we view our heritage and ways to approach the issues and challenges facing us. To synchronize our approaches to our issues and challenges into a prosperous opportunity, we must form a Union of Purpose, under this Union, our purpose must be to harness Adoga Kiharangwa the various talents endowed in us by our creator to improve our lot and that of Kenya. It is necessary. Political leaning aside, tribal association aside, we must unite as a people with shared interests and aspirations. Kenya United Diaspora Organization (KUDO)’s mission and aspirations make for a large enough Tent for all individuals of Kenyan heritage to synchronize our ideas to prosperous actions for ourselves and our motherland (Kenya). If we replace our individual egos with the passion to create wealth among us for us, our Unity of Purpose will bare fruits in perpetuity. Am I being too optimistic? Yes I am but, as much as I would like to live on the moon, I am also aware of the distance between the moon and the earth. Needless to say that I know how much time, innovation, energy and passion it will take us to get there. Our cause is noble, our commitment and stamina should match that nobility. We should hold each other today and tomorrow responsible of nothing short of inspired to unite and act accordingly. Our structure as proposed is self-evident of the format and conduct by which we shall achieve our aspirations. I call upon all individuals of Kenyan heritage living outside Kenya to join KUDO, no matter what other organizations you belong to and invest your collective talents in a visionary future nurtured by us. Robinson Njeru Githae was appointed to be Ambassador to the United States by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on August 14, 2014, and presented his credentials to U.S. President Barack Obama on November 18, 2014. It is the first diplomatic posting for Ambassador Githae. Previously, Robinson Githae was the Minister of Finance from 2010 to 2013 and the Minister for Metropolitan Development from 2009 to 2012. From 2008 to 2010, he served as the Assistant Minister for Local Government and from 2006 to 2008 as the Assistant Minister for Transport. Prior to that, he won a seat in Parliament in 2003 and was appointed Assistant Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs. He was re-elected as a Member of Parliament in 2007. Prior to entering politics in 2002, he worked with various banks and financial institutions in Kenya in different capacities and ultimately ended up as General Manager. He earned a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1980 at the University of Nairobi and went on to get his law bar qualifications at Kenya School of Law in 1981. Featured Artist - Caroline Wavai Caroline M. Wavai Caroline and Lucky Baraka survived the August 7, 1998 U.S. Embassy bombing in Nairobi Kenya. Through this ordeal they felt God’s mighty hand and were miraculously saved from death. Caroline was working on the 19th floor of the Cooperative Building when the bombing occurred. David Angwenyi David Angwenyi is the Founder of Global Connections Kenya and co-founder of Hopewell-Keroka Alliance (HKA). Angwenyi teaches biology and is the David Angwenyi, Ph.D director of Kenya House, the faculty advisor of Global Connections and model WHO Clubs at Hopewell Valley Central High School. Angwenyi was instrumental in the design of the Global Public Service, an elective leadership and service learning class for 12th grade students at Hopewell Valley Central High School that aims at broadening students’ perspectives on global issues. Angwenyi obtained a bachelor’s degree from Saint Peters University and a masters from Rutgers University. Angwenyi has a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Capella University.
