My Brother Vinny" is a NYS 501c3 Not-For-Profit Charity that organizes and distributes food, clothing and furniture to
US Veterans, outreach groups, shelters and families in need in Westchester County and neighboring vicinities. We run
an annual Special Olympics Walk a thon and help local animal shelters and rescue groups in the aid and support of
animal welfare. We also establish and implement community based events geared towards improving the enjoyment
of life, happiness and health of the emotionally, physically and mentally disabled.

October 2013 Newsletter
October has been a great month! My Brother Vinny was in attendance at the 5th Annual Yorktown
Festival & Street Fair on Sunday October 13, 2013.
What a wonderful day! Besides the fantastic
weather we had the opportunity to meet and
speak with so many wonderful people and made
many new friends. This festival was also the kickoff
to our drive season collecting items for all in need.
We received a warm welcome at Kathy Boyle’s
Breakfast Club hosted at Abitare Designs in Pound
Ridge. This networking meet and greet featured a
vast variety of business connections and we were
the charity featured this month. It really was a
pleasure to be part of this event. Thank you Kathy!
Since July we have helped 39 US Veterans with
move into their new homes. When we say move it
means so much more than just transport. We provide them will all of the items needed to start over
from bedrooms, living rooms, tables, kitchen
items, housewares, toiletries, etc. all for free due
to our amazing network of volunteers and supporters. We truly could not do it without all the incredible donations we’ve received from our community
and from communities around the US!
We are truly blessed and we feel thankful that our
motto of “Helping mankind one good deed at a
time” is spreading throughout the country and everyday we get new supporters to join in! We receive
items from supporters as far away as Las Vegas,
Massachusetts and Pennsylvania now on a regular
basis. The sky is the limit! With the holiday season
quickly approaching we need all the help we can
get!
Special Thanks to Master Berlow and the entire
staff at UMAC Briarcliff for lending us their van for our
Veteran moves! It is an incredibly kind and generous
gesture that they are allowing us the use of their van
on off hours. This saves us so much that we can cut
down on renting vans/trucks for a bit - until we raise
the funds to get our own van! This is a true blessing!
The first weekend using the van we did 2 veteran
moves and 2 furniture pickups.
