What to Expect at MOMOM
As a Patient
What to Expect at FLAMOM
FLAMOM is an event unlike any other.
Here is a basic overview to help our
Patients know what to expect from their
FLAMOM Experience.
What do I need inside?
People line up early and wait patiently.
Before the doors open:
• Return gear to your car or plan to haul it around all
day.
• Get any medications or other essentials that you might
want (we frown on leaving once you are inside).
• You won’t need an ID, insurance, proof of employment
or money!
- No Narcotics are allowed on the property.
- No Narcotics will be given out during our event.
- No Exceptions…
The FLAMOM Event is a
NON-SMOKING EVENT…
The entire FLAMOM experience focuses on promoting Good Oral Health as
part of Good Overall Health. We ask for your cooperation by being
considerate of all attendees (patients and volunteers alike).
Smoking IS NOT ALLOWED
from the time you enter the first Gate until your treatment is complete and
you are escorted to the South Parking Lot. There are no “Smoke Breaks”,

● Receive numbered wristband.
● You will be greeted by our lead sponsor,

Step 2 – Patient Education
You will be escorted to Patient Education
(Small Dome) featuring a brief presentation related
to all of the aspects of
Good Oral Health.

including:
• Taking your pulse
• Taking your blood pressure
• Testing your blood sugar if you are a diabetic
• Asking about medications and allergies
• Determining whether pre-medication is needed before Dental

Keep Up with Your Patient Folder All Day!
A friendly FLAMOM escort will lead you from station
to station.
Never go anywhere without an
escort!


Every patient will have a digital panoramic
x-ray taken to assist our Dentists in
diagnosing and treating your condition.
While the digital x-ray exposure is minimal,
please notify us if you are pregnant!
Step 5 – Dental Triage
A FLAMOM Dentist will perform an oral examination
and discuss what we can do for you today.
Step 6 - Routing
Here you will be assigned a “golden ticket” and
be shown to a waiting area based on your
treatment plan.
Step 7 – Patient Waiting
It’s a long day so please be patient.
We want to treat each of you with the best care possible.
Guess What? More Waiting!
Again, we ask for your patience.
It will be worth the wait!
But What If…
I’m hungry or need a restroom?
For the clinic to flow smoothly and safely, patients
must remain seated and in order.
• There will be refreshments served to you at set times.
• Raise your hand and a Patient Ambassador (escort)
will assist you to the restroom.
• This is a SMOKE FREE EVENT…NO SMOKING or SMOKE
BREAKS.
What If My Child is Being Seen?
•
•
•
We keep parents/guardians together with children.
We do our best to make kids feel relaxed and special.
Children are treated in a separate pediatric (PEDO) area.
What if I’m just here to support someone
else?
That’s great! You may wait in the Companion/Family
Waiting Area located near the exit until the patient has
completed his/her treatment. Don’t worry…you can’t
miss them as they are escorted to the
Exit Interview/Pharmacy areas.
