We used the Add-along four-shelf starter unit, $60, bottle rack, $15, pull-out box, $40, extra 770 x 400mm shelves, $15 each, and additional 1100mm posts, about $8 for two. Use a handsaw to cut the posts to size. The timber can be left raw but, if using a clear finish, stain or paint, coat all pieces before assembly. SHELF POST CROSS BRACE 1 Square up the shelves and add the cross brace to the back of the unit. POST TOP SHELF 2 Place the unit on its side and mark the post tops in line with the top shelf. Insert wall plugs before hanging the rail and use a spirit level to check that it’s straight. Install more than one rail by using a timber offcut as a spacer to align the holes.
