Scandinavian Open 2013, Velde Arena Norway
We are very excited to welcome all athletes, teams, officials and spectators
to Velde Area, Sandnes Norway for the very first UCI Scandinavian open
including the Nordic Championships competition. In addition to this race
package we will host a Supercross Sunday race. Both races classified as UCI
C1 races.
The track is brand new and the Scandinavian open event will be the official
opening race at Velde Arena.
The arena has a double track layout, one supercross and one standard BMX
path according to the new BMX rules and guidelines. The track is built by Clark
& Kent Contractors.
The organizer behind this event is BMX Norway, responsible for European
rounds in 2009, final rounds in 2010 and the UCI Supercross 2012.
Sandnes should be well known as Norway´s capital of BMX. The city and area
has a lot to offer as host for the Scandinavian open event. It is conveniently
located in South West of Norway. Easy access from all over Europe with a
short 15 minutes drive from the international airport Stavanger Lufthavn to city
center and an additional 10 minutes to the track.

Number plates
The organizer will provide number plates to be used on handlebar and bike frame as
required. It will be mandatory to use provided number plates during both training and
racing.

Camping facilities with showers, toilet and electricity at Velde Arena
will be provided
Prizes are as follows:
Per night: 300 NOK (40 EUR)
From Thursday to Sunday: 600 NOK (80 EUR)
