Birds live in every corner of the world! Come explore our wooded wetland and see
what birds live right here in New Jersey. Use binoculars, field guides, and a keen
sense of observation to discover and identify all sorts of birds.

The Bug Club is devoted to young people who want to explore the wonders of
insects through field walks, games, stories and crafts. Learn how butterflies
migrate, watch dragonflies dance on the river, discover who’s living under
that log and investigate where insects fit into the food web!

Each month, we will explore different aspects of entomology as we catch, collect,
observe, identify and release a variety of invertebrate species. Together we’ll use nets,
magnifiers, and microscopes to investigate their behaviors, ecology and the important
roles they play within the larger ecosystem. Come ready to explore!

Fall will be arriving soon and the trees will be bursting with colors. Young children love
to explore the environment and observe many natural wonders that adults often take for
granted. We shall take magnifiers, shovels and more as we head out into our wooded
wetland. Join us as we investigate what fall means to the forest plants, animals and us!

Today we are pretending to be Lenape Native American children enjoying a harvest feast in our Lenape village.
All children must be walking and accompanied by an adult. Paths cannot accommodate strollers. Please prepare for wet conditions.
