There’s plenty to keep you onboard – comfy
cabins, great bars and restaurants, first-class
entertainment. But it’s the places we go to that
make a Red Sea Magic cruise really special. One
day you can be pointing your camera at Cairo’s
pyramids, another tripping over the temples
and tombs of Petra. You can rev up a quad bike
and snake across sand dunes. Take a camel
ride through the desert. Or slip on your fins to
explore one of the best scuba spots on earth.
The choices are endless.
To help you decide, we’ve created this guide to
our most popular trips. These can be booked
once you’re onboard. Remember to come along
to our port showcase to find out about our new
tours too. With a little help from us, you can
make every destination count...

This full day tour gives you a
glimpse into the world of the
ancient Egyptians. It all begins
with a scenic drive to the bustling
city of Cairo. Once you arrive,
you’ll make your way to Cairo’s
star attraction, the Pyramids
– and their guardian, the Sphinx
– to capture the last remaining
Wonder of the Ancient World
on camera. Then it’s time for
lunch at a 5 star hotel before
making your way to the National
Archaeological Museum. Join your
guided tour of Egypt’s antiquities
to see Tutankhamun’s tomb
treasures and the mummified
remains of Egypt’s pharaohs. Your
final port of call is the Papyrus
Institute. Put a dent in your
holiday kitty with a little souvenir
shopping here before heading
back to the ship.

stone pylons and obelisks, all
dedicated to the Theban gods.

Red Sea Diving
This programme lets you
experience the thrill of diving
under the supervision of a PADIqualified instructor. You’ll master
the basic skills before heading off
to check out one of the Red Sea
reefs with your instructor. Picture
yourself swimming in a bath-warm
sea, keeping your eyes peeled
for turtles, lionfish, angel fish
and all the other exotic creatures
that find a home here. It’s an
unforgettable deep sea adventure.
Introducing the Red Sea. Get ready for rainbowcoloured reefs, mysterious shipwrecks and sea
creatures like you’ve never seen before...
The Red Sea is one of the world’s
best-loved diving destinations
– and it’s easy to see why. In fact,
it’d be criminal to come to these
parts and give the underwater
scene a miss. In these warm,
crystal waters, multi-coloured fish
dart across the coral in brilliant
shoals. And this is no ordinary
coral either – put simply, it’s
exquisite. Add to the mix yearround sunshine and you can
understand why scuba fans flock
here from all over the globe. When
you’ve finished in the water, simply
peel off your wetsuit and let the
Egyptian sun gently dry your skin...

Diving
Here at Thomson, we’ve teamed
up with local diving schools to
give you chance to explore this
incredible part of the world.
And whether you’re a complete
novice or a diving pro, you’ll find a
package to suit you. Here’s a taste
of what’s on offer...
Qualified Divers
If you’re a certified diver*, we’ve
got a top range of packages to
choose from. After a briefing from
a local guide, you can either follow
them out on a dive or, if you
prefer, you and your buddy can do
your own exploring. If you’re into
wreck diving, you can head off to
explore those at Abu Nuhas or
pay a visit to the Salem Express,
one of the Red Sea’s most
famous shipwrecks.
* If you haven’t dived within the last 12
months you’ll need to complete a ‘Scuba
Review’ at an additional charge.
