VCGT 22.. Inserts
ISCAR is introducing a new range of PCD (ID5) inserts with chipformers for turning, profiling and
grooving.
A. The PCD chipformer tips are available on the CUT-GRIP GIPA/GIDA/FGPA full radius, 35° and on
VCGT 16.. and 22.. ISO standard inserts.
Marketing and Application:
The new inserts were designed for the finishing and semi-finishing cut on aluminum wheels. They
may be used also for machining other aluminum parts when better chip control is required.
The new inserts improve chipbreaking, when compared with flat top PCD inserts. In addition, they
provide better surface finish at high cutting speeds.
The new inserts can be used on our standard external and internal toolholders/bars for external,
internal and facing operations on aluminum wheels.
It is recoinchended to use the VCGT inserts mainly for boring applications.

Market Competition:
Our main competitor for the new inserts is CERATIZIT who provides PCD (CTD 4110 grade) inserts
with chipbreakers.

1. A SVLFCR/L 24-4 and A SVQCR/L 24-4
A40U SVLFCR/L-22 and A40U SVQCR/L-22 (metric tools)
which were design primarily for machining aluminum wheels.
2. S-..R-SVJCR/L-11 boring bars (metric tools), designed predominantly for machining the
bottom of holes or for concave spherical surfaces.
