From the Pastor... Psalm 57: 10-12 Dear Friends, Thanks be to God! Monday morning after my retirement party, I noticed not only a bouquet of roses on my secretary’s desk but also an email with one word: flawless. Yes, that it was! My heartfelt gratitude is extended to Mary Jo, my Administrative Assistant, my energetic and loyal staff, to the phenomenal retirement committee and to all who made Sunday, June 10, a day I shall never forget. All who served in any way— my brother priests, liturgical ministers, sacristans, musicians, the staffs of the Chandelier Ballroom, Zilli’s Catering, and Clearwing Productions—thank you for an unbelievable experience. Please be assured of my gratitude to all parishioners, family, relatives, and friends from other parishes who attended. All commented on how well everything was organized. During the program I was humbled and honored by all who spoke of my pastoral ministry among you over these nineteen years. Thank you, once again, to all who contributed to the “retirement fund”. Your generosity will help me furnish my new apartment in Franklin. The travel certificate will enable me to take some time away to visit places which would be on my “wish list”. To all of you who gifted me with your remembrances and personal presence I’m truly indebted to your kindness. Don’t forget we are only a prayer away. So please be assured of my prayers and I’m counting on yours! God bless each and all of you. In the love of Jesus, P.S. Once I am settled and I have my new address, Mary Jo will publish it in the bulletin. Good-bye Fr. Tony - Welcome Fr. Bill ! Please note: Fr. Bill Stanfield, our new Administrator, will celebrate his first Mass at Blessed Teresa at 8am on Wednesday, June 20th. Welcome to Blessed Teresa Fr. Bill! In addition to Fr. Tony’s message... may I add my gratitude and appreciation for the committee who worked diligently with me since last fall to make this such a special celebration for Father: Carol Apuli, Don Burg, Karin Frederickson, Jane Kasper, Dave & Dianne Lassa, Lynn Leidel, Linda Maltby, Lori Matulevich, Ellen Pedersen, DiAnne Prodoehl, Carol Reinbold, Tina Riggs, Vivianne Whitcomb, & Tim Yost. They are Liturgy and Party Planners “extraordinaire”! Along with the official committee were so many others who helped in so many ways… staff members, family members, husbands of committee members, parishioners, … it has been an incredible group effort and it showed on Sunday! Fr. Tony told me yesterday that this celebration was one of the best days of his life… we accomplished our goal, and he leaves knowing of our gratitude! God bless! Mary Jo If you are interested, there will be a DVD available from the Retirement Celebration which will include the tribute video from the program called “Thanks for the Memories”. Please call the parish office for more information 966-2191. Nope! God’s mercy, God’s grace, God’s power is unlimited! There is no evil, no horror, no sin that is exempt from the healing rays of His grace. Not even the horrors of the culture of death!” ~Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of New York and USCCB President, Homily, Closing Mass of the National Prayer Vigil for Life, January 23, 2012.
