St. Peters Don Bosco Summer Youth Camp Sessions
Every summer many youth participate in our extremely popular Don Bosco Summer
Camps. These sessions are the highlight of the summer for most of the young people that
participate in them, and have created many wonderful memories over the years for our
veteran campers. They are an opportunity for the young people of the parish to form solid
friendships with each other rooted in Christ. The human and spiritual formation that the
youth take from these camps has helped form a dynamic and Christ centered generation of
young Catholic leaders in our own parish. Rooted in the daily Holy Sacrifice of the Mass,
the Liturgy of the Hours, and a good deal of incredibly fun recreational activities, these
camps have proven to be an incredibly successful recipe for an experience both children
and parents will cherish and look forward to year after year. For more information &
registration please contact Br. Chad McCoy SJC at [email protected] or
(312) 243 – 7373.
The sessions for each age group are as follows,
July 11 – 15 High School Camp, Boys (overnight at SJC)
July 18 – 22 Boys Camp (day/overnight at SJC)
July 25 – 29 St. Peters Day Camp, Boys
St. Peters Day camp, Girls
August 1- 5 High School Camp, Girls (overnight at SJC)
Please note that all sessions marked “day & overnight” will be held at St. John Cantius in
Chicago. The only sessions held at St. Peters Parish will be the boys and girls day
sessions the week of July 25 – 29 (which will be run as two separate sessions). The cost of
each session will be $75. per session.

PROPERS FOR JULY 3—14TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (OF)
Introit—We have received your mercy, O God, in the midst of your temple; even as your name, so also does
your praise extend to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness. Great is the Lord and
worthy of all praise, in the city of our God, on his holy mountain.
Gradual—Be unto me a protecting God, and a house of refuge, to save me. My God, in you do I trust; O Lord,
let me never be put to shame.
Alleluia—Come unto me, all you who labour and are heavily burdened, and I will comfort you.
Offertory—You will save the humble nation, O Lord, and bring down the eyes of the proud. For who is God,
other than you, O Lord?
Communion—O taste and see how gracious the Lord is; blessed is the man who trusts in him.
PLEASE KEEP US INFORMED
Occasionally, our parishioners move and change phone numbers. If you do, please inform the parish
office. Sometimes, we have to get in touch with you about some matter and if we don’t have current
contact information we won’t be able to reach you. If you have moved or changed your telephone
number within the last few years, please call the parish office to see if we need to update you information. Thank you.
ATTIRE FOR MASS ATTENDANCE
Out of respect for our Lord and for the edification of our neighbors, we beg men and
women, boys and girls to appear modestly and respectfully dressed. Shorts, tank-tops, low cut,
backless and mini-dresses, halters, bared midriffs, tight-fitting clothes, etc. do not meet the
norm of Christian modesty and of respect, especially in church. Your cooperation is evidence
of your love for our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and for His Holy Mother Mary. Thank
you!
THANK YOU
Thank you to all those who helped with the picnic, donated food and prizes, and all
those who attended and to all those who attended. A special thank you to the Knights
of Columbus for organizing the picnic this year.
Thank you to all those who helped support the Corpus Christi procession by
decorating the altars and by joining us in procession.
PARKING—The Village of Volo has asked us to remind all of our parishioners that parking on
Volo Village Road is allowed only in marked spaces. Violators may be ticketed by the Lake County
Police. Additional parking on Sundays can be found at the Auto Museum, which has offered their
parking lot for our use on Sundays. Please take advantage of it and avoid unnecessary problems.
Thank you for your cooperation.
