“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the
last, the beginning and the end.”Revelations22:13
These words from the very last chapter of the Bible
are a final reminder for us to put God first in our lives.
Putting God first doesn’t mean giving until it hurts. Putting God first means giving until our giving fills us with
joy and contentment. This usually means giving more
generously, not less.

Merton House Ministry: We thank our volunteers who assist Deacon Paul cook 250 or more
meals three times a month at Merton House. We go
the 2nd Monday, 4th Wednesday and 3rd Thursday
of the month from 10:30 to 1:15PM. If interested,
email Deacon Paul at [email protected] or call him at
378-8025. If you would like to donate money
(each meal costs about $500), send a check to the
Parish Office payable to St. Mark Church and with
Merton House written in on the memo line on your
check. Thank you for helping God’s poor.
St. Mark Golf Tournament Needs Your
Help - St. Mark’s Golf Tournament, which will be
held on Monday, June 21, at Mill River Country Club,
needs your help. While we hope many of you will
play, we can especially use your help with raffle gifts
and prizes, water, soda and snacks for the golf course.
The raffle is the highlight of the event. We are looking
for gifts like restaurant certificates, any type of gift cards,
small appliances, or golf attire for example. Nothing
is too small or too big. In addition, your donation will
be recognized in our program and most appreciated.
We are hoping our parishioners will get involved so
we can make this the best year ever. Last year we
raised $10,000 to support our church and school.
If you, or anyone you know, can help out, or has contact with a company who can donate any of the above,
please contact Bob Richard (203)375-0606, Agnes
Stegner (203)377-8666 or Sue Valentine(203)3754873.You can also drop prizes off at the parish office,
or we will gladly pick them up.

bathrobes, toiletries) which will be delivered to Birthright and Malta House. There are containers at the
doors of the church. Thank you for your donations!

mothers, their children and the unborn)Thursday, May
20th at 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler
