SkyView ADS-B Traffic and Weather SV-ADSB-470 UAT Band Traffic and Weather Receiver Traffic and Weather for SkyView. The SV-ADSB-470 is a lightweight remote mounted receiver for ADS-B IN information that utilizes an externally mounted antenna for superior ADS-B reception. To Obtain This Feature: You Need: ADS-B Weather Subscription-free weather displayed on SkyView, including NEXRAD radar, METARs and TAFS. Textual airport weather data can be displayed for nearest airports or for a specific airport identifier. Includes both traffic broadcast from other aircraft equipped with ADS-B UAT transmitters, and data broadcast from ADS-B ground stations (includes all the FAA’s radar targets). (Requires SkyView SV-XPNDR-261/262 transponder, currently the only transponder which meets the requirements.) ADS-B Traffic (SV-XPNDR-262 not usable after 2020 for ADS-B Out) TIS Traffic (Non-ADS-B. Available today for US in some primary radar coverage areas. SV-ADSB-470 replaces TIS with ADS-B traffic.) * SkyView System * SV-ADSB-470 * SV-XPNDR-261/262 * SkyView System * SV-XPNDR-261/262 TFR Information TFR NOTAMs are displayed graphically on SkyView’s map page. A quick release mounting system allows for simple installation and easy removal if needed for service. Traffic Information: When an SV-ADSB-470 receiver is installed with the SV-XPNDR-26X, SkyView will display reliable, accurate ADS-B traffic. Nearby traffic threats can generate audio alerts to notify the pilot of possible collisions. The SV-XPNDR-261/262’s ADS-B Out capability communicates with the ADS-B ground stations, prompting them to send a traffic portrait that includes all known ADS-B and radar targets around the SkyView-equipped aircraft. The SV-XPNDR-261/262 also receives TIS traffic in the event there is no ADS-B information available for display on SkyView. TIS traffic is a US traffic service broadcast in some US radar coverage areas. US 2020 ADS-B Out Compliance: The SV-XPNDR-261 is the first transponder on the experimental market that will be able to be used to satisfy the FAA’s “2020 ADS-B Out mandate”. Note, full ADS-B Out compliance in 2020 (US) requires a TSO’d / ADS-B compliant GPS to be connected. Also, in the US, only the higher power SV-XPNDR-261 will meet the FAA’s 2020 ADS-B Out mandate. Dynon Warranty, Support, and Service: SkyView transponders come with a 3-year Dynon Warranty.
