TWO-NATION VACATION
In 2014, ferry service was re-introduced between Portland, Maine
and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. It was the first time since 2009 that ferry
service has been in place. Downeaster Packages has created itineraries
from three to nine nights that combine both Maine and Nova Scotia.
We will also customize these packages to meet our travelers’ needs.

Day 1 – Depart Boston for Wells, Maine and a stay
at Haven By The Sea.
Day 2 – Depart Wells for Portland, Maine and
transfer to the port for your ferry cruise.
Day 3 – Arrive in Yarmouth, NS and enjoy a
scenic private transfer and tour to Halifax.
Day 4 – Enjoy Halifax with a Halifax area city tour.

to your ferry down the southwest side of Nova
Scotia and stay in Yarmouth.
Day 6 – Board your return ferry back to Portland

departing for your return train back to Boston or
depart early to catch flights out of Boston.

Cancellations are subject to the following fees:
60+ Days prior to departure
For packages under $100 - $25 per person
Packages over $100, less deposit
59-14 Days prior to departure For packages under $100 - $50 per person
For packages over $100 – 50% of pkg price
14 Days prior to departure All packages are non-refundable
Some items are non-refundable once booked. You will be notified
at time of booking.
DOCUMENTS:
Travel documents are mailed or emailed 30-14 days prior to
departure. Method for delivery varies by package. All rail tickets
will be exchanged at the rail station or onboard the train.
RESPONSIBILITY and LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority (NNEPRA)
is responsible only for the rail transportation it provides in
connection with any tour package provided. NNEPRA disclaims
liability, and is not responsible, for (1) Any act or omission of
NAT or any other service provider; or (2) Any accommodations,
services, features or other transportation of the tour package.

Payment can be made by personal check, VISA,
MasterCard, AMEX or Discover.

Non-Refundable Deposit Per Person
$100 Non-Refundable deposit per person
Full Payment
A deposit is due within three days of making a reservation or all
items are subject to cancellation. Some packages will require
additional deposit amounts for non-refundable items like theatre and
sporting event tickets. Packages over $1,000 per person require a
20% deposit.
CHANGES:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF
LIABILITY OF NORTH AMERICAN TRAVELER
(NAT) is responsible for selecting the suppliers that provide the
components part (e.g. hotel accommodations, transfers, tours,
restaurants and activities, etc.) for the travel arrangements
described in this brochure.
NAT is not responsible for personal injury or property damage
caused by any act or omission, intentional, negligent or otherwise,
by any direct carrier, hotel or other supplier or service being
offered in the vacations package including but not limited to acts
of terrorism, acts of god, routing changes, mechanical breakdowns
or any other circumstances beyond NAT’s control.
The services described in this document other than carriage by
Amtrak, are furnished by independent contractors who are not
servants of or joint ventures, agents or partners with NAT.

One complimentary change is allowed if the change does not require
the re-issue of documents. All additional changes within 45 days
of departure will incur a $20 fee. Some package items may not be
changed. All sporting events and some theatre event tickets may
not be changed once booked. Customer is responsible for any price
difference due to the change in travel plans.
