HOST PARKS
9993 Allegheny Road, Darien Center, NY 14040 darienlake.com
What started with a small campground and picnic area on the shores of a man-made lake has
grown into one of the Empire State’s largest amusement parks. Over the years, and through a series
of owners, the park has built a solid collection of rides.
The park’s coaster collection includes Viper, a multi-inversion Arrow-Huss coaster introduced
in 1982, Predator, the 1990 CCI wood coaster and Ride of Steel, Intamin’s 1999 megacoaster, the
owl-themed Hoot N Holler from Zierer, a Vekoma SLC and a Boomerang and Moto Coaster, the
motorcycle-themed Zamperla coaster.
4600 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622 seabreeze.com
Seabreeze opened in August 1879 with picnic groves along the lakefront. By 1900, the park had
several rides to enjoy, including a carousel. Seabreeze was named Dreamland for several decades
after World War II.
The heart of the park for enthusiasts is Jack Rabbit, the wood out and back coaster designed by
John Miller and built by Harry Baker that opened in 1920. Jack Rabbit will receive an ACE Roller
Coaster Landmark plaque during our visit to Seabreeze.
The park has three other coasters: Bobsleds, the unique hybrid developed in-house, Bear Trax, a
Miler junior steel coaster and Whirlwind, a spinning coaster from Maurer Söhne.
2400 Grand Island Blvd., Grand Island, NY 14072 martinsfantasyisland.com
Fantasy Island opened in 1961. Known as Two Flags Over Niagara in the early 1990s, the park
became Martin’s Fantasy Island in 1994 when local businessman Martin DiPietro bought the park.
There’s plenty to enjoy here, especially Silver Comet, the 1999 CCI wood coaster that echoes the
revered Crystal Beach Comet. Add great rides, a waterpark, miniature golf and, even, canoes and
you have an excellent final day of the 2015 Summer Conference.
The park will be hosting the WNY Oldsmobile Club car show on the day of our visit.

ACE does not have a host hotel in the Martin’s Fantasy
Island area. You may want to consider hotels in Batavia,
New York, about 20 minutes from Darien Lake,
45 minutes from Martin’s Fantasy Island
and about an hour from Seabreeze.
Bobsleds, a wood junior
terrain coaster when it
opened in 1952, gained
