Recordbooks and Award Interviews
RECORDBOOKS
It is that time of year again… 4-H Recordbooks. You can find all the information, instructions and word documents at http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/
youth_recordbooks/. 4hreports will go offline in October so if you need to retrieve and save anything make sure you do it asap.
Recordbooks are due June 5 by 5pm at the Extension Office. This year you
may again turn in the alternative recordbook. It is a simple version of the 4-H
Recordbook. Reminder, if you showed at this year’s local stock shows
and want to show next year, you must turn in a recrodbook (stock show
rule NOT 4-H rule).
COUNTY AWARD APPLICATIONS
County 4-H Awards include Gold Star, Silver Star, I Dare You Awards, as well
as Outstanding Intermediate and Junior Awards. The applications are available at the Extension office and were emailed as well. To be considered for the
awards, junior, intermediate, and senior youth must complete the application
and an official 4-H Recordbook and return it to the CEO by Friday, June 5.
Star Award Interviews will be July 6. Winners will be announced at the 4-H
Banquet in August.

District Consumer Decision Making
The senior team placed 2nd overall
and will advance to the State Roundup
in June. Team members consisted of
Erin Supak, Gretchen Kuck and Hannah Garlick. Individually, Erin was 2nd
and Gretchen was 7th.

April 25, 2015 at Texas A&M
University in College Station,
Texas.
In the Senior Division, Haley
Bertsch was 9th overall and Hannah Garlick was 22nd.
In the Intermediate Division,
Emily Fritsch was high point individual.
In the Junior Division, Karli Siptak was 2nd and Rachel Matocha
was 11th overall.
District Horse Judging
On Saturday, April 11th, fourteen
Fayette County 4-H members participated in the District 11 4-H
Horse Judging Contest in College
Station.
The Senior Team # 1 placed 1st
overall and will advance to Texas 4
-H Roundup in June at Texas
A & M University in College Station. Team members consisted of
Kaycie Kelly, Emily Eindorf, Faith
Hanacek and Garrett Kallus. Individually, Kaycie was 2nd, Emily
was 3rd, Faith was 4th and Garrett was 7th.

County 4-H Scholarship
Fundraiser
will
take
place on June 4th. It will
be a drive-thru Chicken
Spaghetti Meal from 4-6
pm. The meal will consist of Chicken Spaghetti,
Salad, Green Beans and
Garlic Bread, all for $8.50
each. All proceeds will
benefit the graduating
4-H Seniors.

members are asked to
help sell tickets and
provide a bake sale
item for the free will
bake sale. Tickets are
available
now.

2015 Texas 4-H Roundup
Mark your calendars for the 2015 Texas
4-H Roundup on June 8-12 in College
Station. For those who qualified, the
deadline to sign up via 4-H Connect is
May 15. More information can be found

Don’t forget about the invitational contests such as livestock, poultry and photography judging.
Photography Contest
The TAE4-HA District 5 association is
hosting a photography contest.
Using the state category's. Cost is $10
for the first photo and $1 for each additional photo per individual. All photos
must be received by the District IV Photography Committee Chairman by May

(additional information can be
emailed out if interested in competing).
Leadership Lab
District 11 Leadership Lab will take
place on June 22-24 at the Alto Frio.

Texas Cattle Feeders Association has
scheduled Saturday, August 1st as the
2015 Junior Fed Beef Challenge. This is
an educational event for future leaders
of the cattle feeding industry.

Science Program is a 5 year program
