From Our Principal
Dear Lights, Camera. . .Auction! Guests:
Welcome to our 14th annual Lights, Camera. . .Auction! The Bethlehem family is truly blessed by the
generous gifts and talents that were combined to make this evening possible. All of our efforts continue to make
Bethlehem High School one of the region’s finest educational institutions.
The consistency and level of success for this event are indicative of the hard work, dedication, and generosity
of our supporters. Thank you to Belinda Monin, in her first year as our Auction Chairperson, for her leadership
and dedication. While it literally takes hundreds of volunteers to host such a wonderful event, competent
leadership is an inevitable requirement for success at this level.
Also, thank you to Boone’s Butcher Shop for their continued sponsorship of the Auction, and to Filcon
Construction who is returning for the second year as the sponsor of the Wheel of Chance. We also thank those
who have advertised in our auction catalog. Your support of this great event is very much appreciated.
We are all blessed by the continued support and commitment to our students and to our school, and I am
overwhelmed by the spirit of generosity that inspires your presence tonight and your support of a Catholic
education. On behalf of us all, I thank you.
Sincerely,
Tom Hamilton
Principal
From Our Auction Chair
Dear Friends of Bethlehem High School:
Welcome to Lights, Camera…Auction! as we celebrate “Raiders of the Lost Ark” I welcome you to this year’s
event. This is our 14th year for this special event which has brought our Bethlehem family closer together and
has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the school that we all love.
Thank you to the Boone family for again stepping up as the Auction Sponsor of this year’s event, and also to
Filcon Construction for generously sponsoring the Wheel of Chance again this year. A very special thanks to
the new advertisers that have come aboard as well, and those who have joined us for the second year. And, a
huge thank you to the numerous volunteers who have spent many, many hours to provide this great event.
Raise your paddle and help make this year the most successful year ever!
On behalf of the students, faculty and staff of Bethlehem High School, thank you for attending tonight’s event.
Empty your pockets and may God continue to bless you and your families.
Sincerely,
Belinda Monin

Live Auction Rules
1. The Auction will begin following dinner on November 23, 2013 and will continue
without interruption until all items have been auctioned. Doors for general admission will
open at 6:00 p.m. for cocktails and to provide an opportunity for viewing items prior to
bidding.
2. In order to enter a bid, a bidder must raise his or her bid paddle high and attract the
attention of the auctioneer or spotter. This must be repeated each time a bidder initiates
or increases a bid. Each bid obligates the bidder to pay his or her bid price, in full, if his
or her bid is deemed the high bid at the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer. The auction will
be fast paced so the bids must be made quickly.
3. LIGHTS, CAMERA . . . AUCTION! has endeavored to catalog and describe
the items and services correctly, but everything is sold “as is.” Certain auction items
and/or services may have restrictive use or other qualifications which may affect
value, application, or use thereof to the bidder. Many items such as the vacation
homes and condos are nontransferable. Purchasers are bound by the precise
restrictions specified by the donors. The terms are non-negotiable. Please read
carefully the specifications and restrictions.
4. The high bidder will be acknowledged by the auctioneer. If the auctioneer determines
that an opening bid or any subsequent bid is not commensurate with the value of the
item(s) offered, he may reject the same and withdraw the items(s) from sale, and if, having
acknowledged an opening bid, he decides that an advance thereafter is not of sufficient
amount, he may reject the advance. The auctioneer retains the right to add or delete any
item. The auctioneer reserves the right to announce conditions of sale at any time. In the
event of any dispute, the auctioneer will have sole and final discretion in these matters.
BETHLEHEM HIGH SCHOOL reserves the right to have its agent(s) bid on its behalf.
5. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on items by the donors or
LIGHTS, CAMERA . . . AUCTION!, except where specified, unless the donor is unable
to fulfill his obligation as described in the catalog.
6. Unless otherwise specified, all auction items and services must be used within
one year after November 23, 2013. Unless otherwise specified, dates and times are
to be arranged at the mutual convenience of, and by and between, the donor and
10
Live Auction Rules
purchaser. Security and cleaning deposits, when required by the donor, must be paid
directly to the donor and are not included in your bid.
7. Payment by the successful bidder must be made immediately following the item’s sale
or at the end of the auction when all items may be paid for at one time. Payment in full that
evening is mandatory.
8.
Payment will be made with CASH, CHECK, VISA or MASTERCARD.
9. Items purchased in the Live Auction may be picked up in the gymnasium only by
submitting a PAID receipt from the Cashier’s Office. When an item has not been displayed
other than by poster, photograph, letter, etc., the purchaser will receive a certificate for the
purchased item.
10.The LIGHTS, CAMERA . . . AUCTION! office and the gymnasium will be open on
Sunday, November 24, 2013, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to enable successful bidders
to remove items that day. Unless special arrangements for pickup and delivery are made in the
Claim Room at the time of payment, all items must be removed from BETHLEHEM HIGH

I PULLED THE PLUG ON
MY ENERGY COSTS JUST
BY PULLING A FEW PLUGS.
TVs, game consoles, DVRs, cable boxes, and almost
anything that has a plug uses energy even when it’s off.
I’m saving $222 a year by pulling plugs and turning off
power strips. What can you do? Find out how the little
changes add up at TogetherWeSave.com.
