Refunds for one day activities are not possible after the event has taken place. We will gladly issue a refund for any multi-session program for any reason as long as you contact us prior to the second class. After the second class, no refund will be given. Program Cancellations Call (717) 243-3318 and press 2 for cancellations. We reserve the right to cancel any program due to insufficient registration in which case a full refund will be issued. Injury Participation in our programs and leagues is at your own risk. We advise participants to carry their own accident/liability insurance. Mission Statement Since a quality park and recreation service is very important to a community, the Carlisle Parks and Recreation Department will continually assess the parks and recreation programs, make adjustments where necessary, and work with other public and private recreation providers to offer the residents of the community the finest leisure services program possible with the available resources. ~Carlisle Parks and Recreation ATTENTION POOL MEMBERS! For individuals who purchased a Carlisle Community Pool pass in 2009-2016, the same cards will be used for future seasons with the purchase of another membership. DO NOT throw the cards away! Replacement cards are $5 each. Health & Fitness YOUTH Ballet Bunnies Zumba Kids® Children will learn the five positions, basic movements, and ballet jumps. Dancers will practice coordination, balance, and control of their bodies during fun activities. Ages: 3—5 years. Instructor: Jamie Ott. So, mark your calendar and plan to attend! www.CarlislePA.org 4 Health & Fitness ADULT Belly Dance—Basics and Beyond Women’s Empowerment—TMA Fusion of contemporary and vintage belly dance techniques and choreographic sequences taught in a progressive format. You’ll review and build upon the previous weeks' class culminating in a choreography for application of technique, as well as to inspire creativity and joy in movement and expression. Warm-ups include standing and floor exercises to strengthen and prepare the body for dance. Ages: 18—Adult. Instructor: Jeri (“Jazana”) Preston. Thursdays, September 15—November 3 6:00—7:00 p.m. $36/resident, $41/non-resident Carlisle Halloween Parade Monday, October 17 @ 7:00 p.m. Zumba® / Zumba Toning® The format of the class will alternate weekly with Zumba and Zumba Toning to give you a complete program combining cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility. Classes are designed using an interval-style format, combining high and low-intensity moves for maximum calorie burning. No experience needed -- the choreography is fun and easy to follow. Sports YOUTH and MULTI-AGE Soccer Shots Carlisle Fencing Club A trademark of Soccer Shots is the developmentally appropriate curriculum we use that emphasizes creative play, enjoyment of sport, and character building lessons. Instructors are energetic and passionate about working with children. Each session will focus on specific soccer skills that also work towards improving balance, coordination and agility with each child. From Mexico to milkweed, come learn about the magnificent journey of the Monarch Butterfly from here to Mexico and some of the challenges along the way. Hands-on activities with live eggs, caterpillars and butterflies will help you to be able to identify each stage of the life cycle in the “wild”. Learn why milkweed is essential for the survival and recovery of the Monarch population. Receive a milkweed plant so you can start your own butterfly garden. Ages: 5—Adult.
