Announces its 2012-2013 Season!
SAN ANTONIO (March 18, 2012) − Take four rock legends, add a con man, mix in a little
dancing with a sprinkle of fairy dust and you have the recipe for another hit-filled Cadillac
Broadway in San Antonio Season at the Majestic Theatre. The 2012-2013 season features six
productions opening with Catch Me If You Can, a splashy new musical inspired by the
blockbuster DreamWorks film that recounts the true story of a teenager who runs away from
home with nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in
forged checks, October 23 – 28, 2012. Prepare to take flight in an all new production of Peter
Pan filled with timeless magical moments and a captivating hook, December 4-9, 2012. The
legend you thought you knew, is now the adventure you never dreamed possible. Tony Award
nominee Cathy Rigby carries off the flights, fights and acrobatics that will leave you
mesmerized.
Turn Up The Dial! Inspired by actual events, Memphis is a fresh Broadway musical that bursts
off the stage with explosive dancing, irresistible songs and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden
love, February 19-24, 2013. The winner of four 2010 Tony Awards® including Best Musical,

Million Dollar Quartet, April 2-7, 2013, brings to life the legendary night Sam Phillips brought
rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins to Sun Studios
in Memphis for an electrifying recording session. It weaves an irresistible tale of broken
promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations featuring timeless hits including “Blue Suede

Season tickets are on sale now!
Six-show Broadway in San Antonio season ticket packages are on sale now, and prices start at
$150. For more information, patrons can visit BroadwayInSanAntonio.com or call the Broadway
in San Antonio Call Center at 800-215-SHOW (7469). The Call Center will operate with
extended renewal hours of Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
through the subscriber renewal deadline Monday, April 30.
Current Season Subscribers will receive renewal packets in the mail in the next two weeks but
can view their renewal invoice online now at BroadwayInSanAntonio.com. The renewal
deadline is Monday, April 30. Season Subscribers enjoy the privilege of priority ticket
opportunities, lost ticket insurance, and exchange privileges on their existing seats. On-sale dates
for individual shows will be announced in the coming months. Groups of 10 or more can reserve

FLASHDANCE

Flashdance tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of
Alex Owens, a working class girl from Pittsburgh with a
dream of becoming a professional dancer. She works by
day as a steel mill welder, and a bar dancer at night while
aspiring to be accepted at a prestigious ballet academy.
When Alex catches the eye of her boss Nick Hurley, their
romance shows her the meaning of love and drives her
ambition to pursue her dream. The original Paramount
Pictures film was a worldwide smash hit that became a pop
culture phenomenon, grossing over $150 million and
featuring a Grammy Award winning soundtrack.
Flashdance– The Musical features a score including the hit
songs from the movie, all of which became Top Ten hits on
the radio around the world including the Academy Awardwinning title song “Flashdance – What a Feeling,”
“Maniac,” “Gloria,” “Manhunt,” “I Love Rock & Roll.” In
addition to these hits, 16 brand new original songs have
been written for the stage by Robbie Roth and Robert Cary.
Flashdance features a book by Tom Hedley (co-writer of the original screenplay with Joe
Eszterhas), and Robert Cary, music by Robbie Roth, lyrics by Robert Cary and Robbie Roth
and direction and choreography by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, Memphis).
The Historic Majestic Theatre
The Majestic Theatre is located at 224 E. Houston Street in the heart of downtown San Antonio, Texas.
Built in 1929 by John Eberson for Interstate Theatres, the Majestic was intended to be the most modern
building in South Texas and was the first in the state to be totally air-conditioned. The Majestic remains
one of the finest examples of atmospheric theatres ever built, receiving National Historic Landmark status
in 1993. Purchased in 1988 by the City of San Antonio, the theatre was renovated in 1989 at a cost of
$15 million, and shortly after, in 1996, the stage was expanded, allowing the theatre to accommodate
major Broadway musicals. Since 1989, the Majestic has hosted over 5 million patrons, all at no cost to
