JESSE SWIMM
Jesse, has spent the past 20+ years working
extensively throughout New York, the U.S., and
Internationally. He was an original cast member with
the 1st National Tour and closing Broadway company
of Mary Poppins where he understudied and
performed the role Bert as well as the U.S. regional
premiere of Mary Poppins at the Tuacahn
Amphitheater in the role of Bert. Jesse was the Dance Captain/Swing on the Cameron
Mackintosh/Trevor Nunn/Matthew Bourne National
Tour of “My Fair Lady” direct from London’s National
Theatre in the West End.
He played Action in Broadway choreographer Joey
McKneely's international production of "West Side
Story" and was also a member of the European tours of
"A Chorus Line" and "Grease" for which he was the dance captain and set over 5
companies throughout Europe.
Other productions include The Blind Guitarist in "Soul Doctor" Off-Broadway at The
Actor's Temple, High Button Shoes” and the 50th anniversary of "Fiddler on the Roof"
playing Nachum the Beggar at the Tony Award winning theatre The Goodspeed Opera
House. Other favorites include "The Rink" (with Leslie Uggams) “Swing”, “Beauty and the
Beast”, "Singin' in the Rain", "Jesus Christ Superstar", multiple productions of "A Chorus
Line", numerous industrials and a few years at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland.
Jesse recently completed the pre-Broadway workshop of "School of Rock" as the Dance
Captain/Swing and will continue on with the Broadway company this fall/winter season
on Broadway at The Winter Garden Theatre.
