With our headquarters in Rosenfeld we are committed to manufacturing products “Made in Germany” and hence are committed to
quality by utilising our state-of-the-art manufacturing technology
with a high degree of automation. The Blickle brand is a worldwide synonym for durable and maintenance-free, high-quality
wheels & castors “Made in Germany”. Blickle as an international
group employs more than 600 people worldwide, with 400 people
employed at the headquarters in Rosenfeld, Germany. With an additional manufacturing plant based in Lyon, France, Blickle also owns
14 sales subsidiaries based in Europe and North America. Blickle
maintains strong relationships with distributors and partners around
the world who stock our products for immediate delivery. This reinforces the Blickle philosophy of setting the standard for quick delivery times and competent technical solutions at the point of sale.

to our expertise, diligence, quality and innovation.
Family business ethics: In the early 50s Wilhelm Sülzle
seg­mented his long-established hardware company to his sons
and son-in-law Heinrich Blickle. This proved to be visionary. The
iron wheels used for hand barrows produced in the beginning,
became modern rubber tyred wheels in swivel and fixed castors.
Typical Swabian virtues like diligence, the quest for outstanding
quality and a mind-set for continuous improvement of products,
enables us to increase the product range year on year. World
innovations and approved patents have helped establish the
excellent reputation Blickle currently enjoys. Today, the company
is run by Reinhold Blickle, son of the company founder. He shares
the same accuracy and vision as his father who knew how to
unify tradition with progression. The next generation has already
joined the company to maintain that vision for the future.

Leading the market means setting high
standards and meeting our customers highest expectations. The Blickle way: Manufacturing everything from scratch within our
facilities in Germany and France. Thus we
have complete control on quality and delivery
dates. This also enables us to react with
speed and flexibility to customer and market
requirements. This allows us to continually
guarantee the high Blickle quality standard.
Our depth of knowledge in castor production allows us to keep
complete process control. With our core competence of tool
making leading the way, we are able to stay ahead of the game.
State-of-the-art machines support our qualified staff to produce
high quality products following the motto “machines where
needed and people where necessary”. An extensive press shop
includes hydraulic and eccentric presses with forces up to 630
tonnes. Spot welding and circular welding is automated using
robots. At our fully automated facilities in Germany and France,
we cast polyurethane, whilst 28 hydraulic synthetic injectionmoulding machines with clamping forces from 350 to 8,000 kN
are responsible for the synthetic injection-moulding process. We
have continually invested in fully automated bracket and castor
assembly lines and produce more than 12 million wheels and
castors a year in our 45,000 square metres of floor space, more
than 50,000 products every day! Non-stop quality. Day after day.

Manufacturing and production control

Only quality production produces quality products. This includes premium raw materials from reliable and reputable suppliers,
focusing on service levels and quality management systems. In the Blickle production facilities, we rely on the expertise of our
qualified staff. This is why we do a number of different apprenticeships starting from toolmakers to mechanical engineers.

Machines are helpful, people are priceless. Each product and
every statement we make is only as good as the staff who are
committed to making them. That’s why we set a high standard
of employing good people, educating them and particularly
encouraging them to stay with the company.
More than 600 people around the world with more than 400 employees
at the production plant in Rosenfeld are behind the success story of
Blickle. Their know-how and their commitment have enabled us to be
where we are today: On top. It goes without saying that the mutual
give and take of the company and its people is the key to our success.
Our people are the most important part of the company. They accept
responsibility and get security in return. Mutual respect is fundamental
for the relationship between both the company and its people.
Regular advanced training seminars make sure that everyone has
the latest knowledge and state-of-the-art working conditions to
make everyday life easier. The employment of juniors is encouraged
and the proportion of trainees compared to permanent staff is 10 %
and above the average in Germany so we can invest in the future of
our region. We also have a high proportion of employees who have
been with the company for a long time.

To reinvent the wheel on a daily basis our technical and sales engineers adhere to a mission
statement encouraging enhancement, variation
and optimisation of our existing product range.
We utilise the latest technology including linear
and non linear FEM and keep close relationships
with established institutes to keep our ideas
moving and to realise new possibilities. Quick
solutions are realised through the integration of
our engineering department and on site tool shop
coupled with CAD data transfer. We run a combination of daily trials and basic research utilising
our in house test facilities to develop solutions
under specific conditions. This ensures that
Blickle products meet the highest demands of
customers today. A recent example of this is the
newly developed Blickle Besthane polyurethane
tread which has been designed for the most arduous conditions, offering a higher speed performance with better wear characteristics than any
other similar polyurethane product. This product
has been developed exclusively within the Blickle
organisation using our in house laboratory, with
extensive testing over several years before being
included into the Blickle range.

standard components from bulk production can be used.

The confidence of our customers is of paramount importance to Blickle: This confidence is based on hard work with regards to quality
and reliability. With our own production facilities based in Germany and our continued commitment to local manufacturing, we have full
control on quality and delivery from the beginning. The state-of-the-art production facilities guarantee higher processing accuracy and
reliability, which we aim to improve every day. This is why we were the first wheel & castor manufacturer to be certified to ISO 9001 in
1994 and we will continue to adhere to these high standards.
Reliability is not a matter of perspective.
Quality is the basis of our success.
In addition to very strict quality management directives for our selected suppliers we always carry out an incoming goods inspection
in accordance to DIN ISO 2859 – AQL. A multitude of testing devices are available to our engineers in our test laboratories including 3 rotary test benches to carry out lifespan tests in accordance
to DIN EN 12527 with loads of up to 5 tonnes and speeds of up to
25 km/h, material test equipment to determine material properties
and adhesive forces as well as climatic exposure test cabinets.
We carry out wheel and castor tests on state-of-the-art measuring
equipment both in accordance to DIN EN 12527-12533 and destructive
tests. During production, Blickle tests all wheels and castors after each
step for quality approval. The first and last parts of every production run
are approved by a manager, whilst the worker continuously performs
checks throughout the batch. The quality of our products being manu­
factured with an automated assembly line is checked by our qualified
staff in addition to in line camera systems. In addition every product is
checked again prior to dispatch.

We produce more than 12 million wheels and castors per annum
and continue to increase this year on year. Blickle wheels and

pro­vide the correct solution for moving your loads ranging from
15 kg to 20,000 kg. Whether it’s hot or cold, dry or humid,
