Located on a horseshoe shaped bay between the dramatic Biokovo
mountains and the Adriatic Sea, Makarska has several churches, a
monastery, museum and a pretty harbour.
Walk along the coastal path to the pretty nearby resort of Tucepi,
take a boat trip to the island of Brac or explore the Biokovo nature
park.
The 4 star Meteor Hotel is situated by a long pebble beach, only a
ten minute walk from the centre of Makarska along a pedestrianised
seafront promenade.
Here you will find a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.
The hotel offers 275 en-suite bedrooms, all with hairdryer, satellite
television, telephone, safe, free wi-fi and mini bar (payable locally)
with most rooms having a side sea view and a balcony. The hotel
does have lifts.
The main restaurant is buffet style and there is also a pool bar and a
lounge bar with a large outdoor terrace.
The hotel has an outdoor seawater swimming pool with sunbeds on
the surrounding terrace, a large indoor heated swimming pool,
whirlpool, sauna and gym.
