adequate notice. Pull the bell cord at least one block before
your stop. After your exit, NEVER cross the street in front of
the bus. Stand away from the bus and wait until it has pulled
away before attempting to cross the street.

Please refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, or using
electronic equipment with sound without earphones on the
bus. Use care and courtesy when carrying your items on the
bus. Help keep the bus clean and take all your trash with you.
Please leave front seats available for elderly and disabled
passengers. After paying your fare, take your seat as quickly
as possible to allow the driver to stay on schedule. When
walking, boarding, moving, standing, and walking on the bus,
hold on to the grab rails or seat backs. The use of seat belts
is required (if available). Do not move around on a moving
bus. Wait until the bus has stopped completely before
moving out of your seat.
Please have the exact fare or ticket/fare card ready before
boarding the bus. Bus drivers do not carry cash and are
unable to make change. Half fare riders must have their
identification card ready to show the driver. If you don’t show
your card, you will be required to pay the full fare. Half fare
riders do not receive discounted fares on Demand Response,
Route 1, Route 16X, Route 747N and 747S. If you need a
transfer, please ask the driver when you pay your fare. You
cannot obtain a transfer when you exit the bus.

When waiting for the bus, stand at the Coast RTA bus stop
sign. Make sure that the bus driver can see you so you are
not passed by. Always signal the driver that you wish to ride
the bus. If you are using the service for flights departing
Myrtle Beach, please allow adequate time to arrive early at
the airport.

Welcome Aboard!
Coast RTA Services
Coast RTA is a dependable, trustworthy source of public
transportation servicing Horry and Georgetown Counties, including
the cities of Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Garden City, Murrells
Inlet, Pawleys Island, Georgetown, Andrews, and Conway. The
company operates 50 vehicles and services 10 fixed routes. Coast
also provides Paratransit services and limited contract services,
and some demand services.
Coast RTA Fixed Route Service
The Coast RTA Fixed Route bus system consists of 10
regularly scheduled routes servicing Horry and Georgetown
Counties, including the cities of Myrtle Beach, Surfside
Beach, Garden City, Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island,
Georgetown, Andrews and Conway. Our Fixed Route
service operates seven days a week, 362 days a year with
individual route times varying by season.

Holiday Service
There is no service on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day. Service may be delayed during special events

Accessibility
All Coast RTA buses are ADA compliant and
accommodate wheelchairs. Service animals are
allowed on board Coast RTA vehicles.

Effective August 2013
Coast RTA drivers will assist with luggage and carry-on
items if needed. Neither Coast RTA nor its drivers are
responsible for any damage or mishandling of any items.
