The holidays can be a difficult time for some of us. Many
are missing loved ones who have passed on. Others are
caring for family members and find it quite challenging to
manage all that comes with it. Still, any of us have deep
concerns for those we hold dear to our hearts.
Pastor Law would like you to attend the Worship and Healing Service that expresses compassion, hope, grace, and
a quiet confidence in God. There we can bring our cares to
the all-sufficient Christ, who understands our need for
wholeness.

CWF Luncheon
Meliorist
CWF will meet at 10:30 am on December 8 in
the Bell Conference Room for Christmas
luncheon and fellowship. Lunch will be
provided. Come and enjoy celebrating the
Advent season with us. We will be entertained
with Christmas music by Morgan Parks. Call

All women of the church are invited.
Our Meliorist outing for December is our
annual trip to Anna Hough’s house. We leave
Lindenwood at 10:30 am or you can meet us
at Anna’s house at 11:00 am.

Exam Care Bags will be available Sunday,
December 6 at the kiosk in The Grand Foyer. Stop by and pick-up your exam bag full
of all kinds of goodies. Your Lindenwood
family will be keeping you in their prayers
during your exam times.

STAR SAVER BASKETBALL REGISTRATION
Ages 5-9

It is a great way to teach your child how to play
the game of basketball. We start each week
with clinic (group practice) that focuses on
developing the fundamental skills needed to play
the game followed by games.

Girl Scout Troop 68 has been selling fresh

Christmas Trees in Memphis for over 50
years...this sale allows the girls to earn money
for extensive adventures (that cookies alone
won't support). This years sale proceeds go
toward a trip to Europe (Italy, Germany, Switzerland) in July 2016.
Since the lot is staffed by the girls (high
school age) and their parents our hours are:
Monday-Friday
5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Saturday
9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Sunday
1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
We are also offering hand tied wreaths and
several hand made craft items And, YES,
Cookies are coming! Girls will be taking orders in January and the cookies arrive in
Memphis on February 20.
The Girl Scouts of Lindenwood appreciate the
church sharing the facilities and space to
make our programs possible!

What: Bonfire Meet and Greet
Who: All Young Adults, ages 24 - 35
(single, married, engaged, parents, professionals, students or others. All are welcome.)
When: December 20 @6:00 pm
Where: 63 Patricia Dr. (Behind Lindenwood)
Why: To enjoy a relaxed time with other young
adults while living it up eating s’mores and
drinking hot chocolate!!
Purpose: To inform young adults of the upcoming
Millennnials in Ministry Bible studies in
January 2016.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered
program that helps one who is struggling with
any form of addiction, or any of life’s issues that
damage one’s relationship with God and with
others, by showing them the loving power of
Jesus through a recovery process. We meet on
Monday evenings, 7:00 pm in room 203. If you

Senior Socializers - Provides an ongoing
social opportunity for Lindenwood members.
Join us in the Library to play dominoes on
Mondays from 11:00 am to Noon and then go
out to lunch and on Wednesday mornings from
11:00 am to 1:00 pm and bring a lunch.

LiferSizers - This is our sit and fit exercise
group. They meet every Monday and
Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the
aerobics room. We stretch, lift weights, and
work out our hearts at the same time.

Every Monday from 9:00 am til 10:00 am Mary
Beth Harlan teaches a great Yoga Class. No
experience required! Cost of class is $5.00. The
class meets in the aerobics room next to the
weight room.

Support your church and others through
prayer. The Lindenwood Sanctuary is open
each Wednesday, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm for
those who wish to come in and pray for our
ministries, ministers and worship services. If
you cannot come on Wednesdays, you can still
participate by receiving the Prayer Guide. To
sign up to receive the Prayer Guide each week,
send your email address to Debbie Robb at
[email protected]. And add prayer guide
to the subject line.

Don’t wait till January to make that
resolution. Give a gift that will last all year to a
loved one. A gift of a one year membership to
the Lindenwood weight room is an awesome

Stephen Ministers: Going through a tough
time emotionally or spiritually? Struggling with
a crisis in life, or simply feeling down? A
Stephen Minster is trained to listen, care,
encourage, pray and walk alongside you during
a difficult time. Call the church office for more


ChristCare Visitors are available to visit, call
and send cards to members who are sick in the
hospital, those in nursing homes, and for those
who may be recuperating from an illness at
home. Call the church office, 901-458-8506.

