letting go of these things open your heart to receive
more of God? This Lenten season you are invited to

through-out the church.
LENTEN PRACTICES
Lent is the annual preparation for Easter,
Resurrection Sunday (March 27). The
season of Lent calls us to change our lives
and to open our hearts. Lent begins on
Ash Wednesday, February 13th and ends
on Holy Saturday, March 30th.
Lent has three traditional practices: Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving (serving). Our
giving requires that we would put others
before ourselves and share with those in
need.
FEBRUARY
Our Lectio Divina Class will start
Wednesday night, February 24
at 6:30 pm in the Friendship
Classroom, taught by Rev. Morgan Parks. We will have small
group discussion based on Scriptures chosen by the group. We
will begin with the third chapter of John so if you would like to
get ahead....start with John 3. Call 901-458-8506 and register with
Carol as space will be limited. Come and let's explore together.
