www.wijnenchampagne.nl TASTING NOTES www.wijnenchampagne.nl OUR WINES AFINCADO SINGLE VINEYARD. We source the grapes for our premier varietal wines, Afincado Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, from two of the most treasured plots of land in Mendoza: “Las Compuertas” and “Los Aromos” Vineyards. Produced in very limited quantities and only released in exceptional years, these next generation luxury wines are rooted in a truly local style which presents the ultimate varietal experience from Argentina: full bodied power, high intensity and structure, with ripe, rich and persistent aromatic fruit. TERRAZAS DE LOS ANDES RESERVA ESTATE GROWN (SINGLE APPELLATION). The Terrazas Reserva wines are hand harvested from select estate vineyards within the top districts of Mendoza: Tupungato, Vistalba, Perdriel and Cruz de Piedra. Based on over 47 years of research and experimentation with local microclimates and terrain, each selected terrace has been matched with a unique varietal to express its maximum potential. Developed with extensive focus on vineyard management, and only released during excellent vintages, these wines stand out for their aromatic intensity and complexity. TERRAZAS DE LOS ANDES THE IDEAL ALTITUDE IN MENDOZA (MULTI-APPELLATION). Our Terrazas wines are sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Mendoza and Salta. Each grape variety is cultivated at its ideal elevation above sea level, to express the pure tipicity of the varietal. These high quality wines are characterized by an intense, fruity aroma and flavour, soft tannins, and a well-rounded structure. Very food-friendly, Terrazas wines are suitable for any occasion. www.terrazasdelosandes.com [email protected] www.wijnenchampagne.nl ELABORATION PROCESS The Terrazas de los Andes wines are crafted at our 1898 Spanish-style winery in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. While our underlying winemaking philosophy is based on the matching of each varietal to its ideal altitude, each Terrazas wine offers a distinct style, which is passionately pursued from vineyard through ageing and release. Terrazas de los Andes is an internationally recognized pioneer in Argentine winemaking. From 47 years of experimentation with high elevation vineyards, to the promotion of natural farming techniques, and the introduction of new French varietals to local terroir, Terrazas de los Andes has been at the forefront of the high quality wine movement in Argentina. www.terrazasdelosandes.com [email protected] www.wijnenchampagne.nl AFINCADO MALBEC 1,067 metres / 3,500 feet above sea level.
