Key Stage 3 Spring Show– ‘Teen Angels’
For those not present for the KS3 Production this year, I have to say that you missed out on
what was arguably the best production I have ever seen performed by students. The quality of
script and the acting to match was something beyond what I ever thought I would see in a high
school play. The students didn’t just memorise their parts, they became their parts- It was an
example of Dogma Drama at its best. So a BIG thank you to Ms Ioana Dumitrescu for bringing
the absolute best out of her students, and to Angel Militaru for his sound system support, and
finally to all the staff and parents who took time out of their busy week to be there in support.

No Stress Triathlon—Results
Well done to all those that participated in the
No Stress Triathlon last weekend.
Final Results:
Mr Paul Georgescu, First out of the water
once again– on track for a fast English
Channel swim.
The IBSB Junior team ended up winning the
adult teams race in the Sprint section.
Team members:
500M Swim Anton Zamfir (Year 7)
13km Cycle Victor Cristea (Year 12)
5 km run
Andreea Albu (Year 5)
The IBSB adult team came 3rd in the mixed
Olympic distance section, with Mr Peet
leading the charge in the swim.
There were also several parents and students
competing in both the team and individual
races and many of our students competing in
the Junior road race, with Alina Barbu
winning her age group, Andreea Albu coming
3rd, and Teodora Albu also coming first in
her age group.

2 Mai Afara Asphalt Triathlon —This Weekend
We hope to se some of you at the 2 Mai Triathlon this weekend.
There will again be another big IBSB turnout. With around 25
IBSB students competing on Sunday in the junior races and
another big group of students, parents, and staff competing on
Saturday in the adult races. Good luck to you all.
Text Books to be returned to school
With the school year now coming to a close, I would like to
remind parents that all student textbooks and library books
should be returned to school. Parents will be informed if
books have not been returned and an invoice issued where
the books have been lost or damaged.
Trips Out over the next few weeks
There are lots of trips going out in the next few weeks,
including residential trips to different parts of Romania and
trips out of Romania to England, Germany, and Greece.
Final letters have gone out to parents, so we hope all
children will be packed and ready to go and on time.
Last Week of IGCSE A Level Exams
Well done to all those students now into their final week of
exams. We hope that you have had a good experience and
that the results that come out August 13 are all that your
hoped for and more.
We hope the Year 6 students enjoy their transition days on
Monday and Tuesday, and good luck to the students
participating in the KS3 Debate competition next Friday.
Wishing everyone safe travels if you are heading way this
weekend and a great weekend ahead.

PTF Daimon Club Pool Party
Thank you to Damion Club for hosting
our first successful PTF Pool Party. In
total, some 40 Parents and Students
came along to enjoy the pool, good
food, and equally good company, on a
day that had perfect weather. Below a

a beautiful day it was in the pool– the
children all had a perfect day!
