• Tuscany takes its name from the Etruscans.
• Soils were formed millions of years ago
leaving rich marine sediments.
• Ideal mediterranean growing climate.
• Chianti is the most famous of Tuscan wines
but Brunello is the greatest.
•Super Tuscans, a category (with no official
status) created in the 80’s and 90’s, includes
both reds and whites.

Description:Dry, smooth, with zesty notes of
cherry and berry fruit.
While Chianti may be the single best-known Italian wine
in the world, its taste and quality can vary dramatically
among producers. For wine lovers, Bell’agio Chianti
D.O.C.G. represents a treasure they can trust.
D.O.C.G. production regulations allow for flexibility in
Chianti’s formulation. In Bell’agio Chianti, Sangiovese
grapes account for 90% of the wine, Canaiolo Nero,
Trebbiano and Malvasia 10%. This blend creates a mouthfilling, lively, and fruity Chianti.
Bell’agio Chianti D.O.C.G., available in the traditional
straw-covered bottle (known as a fiasco), is a vibrant, rubyred wine with a full bouquet reminiscent of violets, and is
ideal with veal, Italian dishes and cheeses.

Area of Production:
Hillside vineyards in the Chianti DOCG district.
Soil:
Calcareous and well-structured, poor and stony.
Grape Varieties:
Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero, Trebbiano, Malvasia.
Production Technique:
Traditional fermentation on the skins for 2 weeks at a
controlled temperature. The wine completes the malolactic
fermentation in stainless steel and then matures in the bottle
for at least 3 months before release.
Characteristics:
Color: Ruby-red with purple hues.
Bouquet: Full and reminiscent of violets.
Taste: Dry and smooth with zesty notes of cherry and
berry fruit.
Alcohol Content: 12%.
Total Acidity: 5 g/l.
Ideal with veal, pastas, and cheeses.
