He has led lean transformations and six sigma deployments in a variety of industries including service, electronic manufacturing, consumer products, plastics and healthcare. His clients have included SC Johnson, Orbis, ABB, Trinity Services, Inc. and Wheaton Franciscan Health. His process improvement projects have included improving compliance with state documentation requirements for care delivery by nurses and eliminating waste, improving flow, and enhancing the patient experience in a nuclear medicine department. Areas of experience also includes finance, engineering, diverse manufacturing, transaction processing, customer service, and quality improvement. He has developed curriculum and instructed classes in performance improvement for the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) Business Excellence Consortium (BEC). As a member of the Excellence in Missouri Foundation, David was trained as an examiner for the Missouri Quality Award, based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. As examiner he learned the assessment process before and during week long site visits to determine how well applicants meet Baldrige criteria. Taught “Lean for Front Line Leaders” class to ensure buy-­‐in to lean at the shop-­‐floor level. • Facilitated teams in plant rationalization and re-­‐layout to meet cost targets and increase efficiency. Lean Office: • Deployed a worldwide Business Process Improvement program for office processes, which included training about 30 facilitators and tracking projects to completion. INVENSYS, London, England 2000-­‐04 Multinational Conglomerate Director: Lean Enterprise, Powerware Division, Raleigh, NC Deployed Invensys’ lean program to Powerware plants in the U.S., U.K., Mexico and Finland. Eaton acquired Powerware in 2004. • Trained hundreds of people in kaizen and lean manufacturing and facilitated numerous kaizen events. • Earned Black Belt certification with a project that reduced Hewlett-­‐Packard's shipping time by 57%. • Trained more than 100 Green Belts and Yellow Belts in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Finland, and France.
