practitioners.
Highlights
Come learn how design schedules were compressed on the first phase of the San Ysidro border
crossing project, the busiest border crossing in the world! Learn how BIM and the Last Planner®
are being used together to produce incredible results during design. Updates on the current state
of LCI and cutting edge research on Lean application to project delivery at UC Berkeley will also be
provided. Dick Bayer will share keys to developing more collaborative cultures. Come learn what
“pistanthrophobia” is and how to avoid it.
Two well-assembled panels will discuss what’s working and what’s not working for specialty
trade contractors on Lean projects. Learn how can builders better leverage the expertise and value
specialty contractors can bring to the table. We will close with an engaging owner panel discussion
that includes Bob Schulz from SDSU, Randy Leopold from UCSD, and John Ransom of Kaiser
Permanente.
Stick around afterwards to network and enjoy the sponsored Happy Hour with local microbrews and
wine.
Registration including lunch and hosted happy hour is $75. Take the early bird discount by
