YARN 2 Skeins Artyarns Beaded Silk Mohair with Sequins
TOOLS US 17 Surina 14” (Optional), crochet hook for fringe
DIMENSIONS 41” wide at top unfringed edge, 31” long from center top to point
(not including fringe)
Put aside yarn for fringe
Remove 12 yards of yarn for fringe and set aside
Begin Shawl
Cast on 3 stitches and knit (garter stitch for 3 rows.
Start Increase
On next (4th) row, begin increasing width on each row by repeating the following pattern. Knit 2, Yarn Over, knit to end of row.
Repeat above row for 88 rows, until you have knit all yarn (approx 88 rows).
Cast off across all stitches. (cast off side will NOT have fringe.)
Add fringe:
Taking yarn set aside for fringe, thread yarn through yarnover at edges of shawl
and crocheting a loop onto the stitch. Trim at 4” and move one stitch over and
make another fringe.
Fringe is added to the two angled sides of shawl, approx. one every other stitch.
Fringe may be added all the way around if you are not going to wear the shawl
around the face.
Top Edge Width Approx 41”
Center Length approx. 31”
