I have been hired by many companies in the past to get projects done when those projects had otherwise stalled or failed. I am a strong leader, yet I take orders and suggestions well. I excel at working with and developing strong, coherent and productive teams. I have been involved in the computer and electronics industry for over twenty-five years. The major focus of my professional responsibilities has been in the engineering of commercial hardware and software products. Specifically, I have designed, developed, created and marketed consumer products, multi-user computer systems, control systems, business and accounting software applications such as Point of Sale, Collateral Loan, Billing and Inventory Systems. In addition, I have developed utilities such as word processors, directory managers, development libraries and drivers, plus a wide range of other software and hardware applications. Summarily, I have developed and managed complete products from conception to marketing with all the associated end to end responsibilities. My knowledge in computer technology has contributed to the co-authorship of two internationally published books, as well as several journal articles. I have developed course syllabi and taught college-level computer programming courses to industrial and college students for many years. My technical abilities have been one of my strongest tools in analyzing, designing and applying automated solutions and monitoring business control points. I have started six businesses to date. Each succeeding business was built on the financial resources and knowledge gained from the previous venture. As an entrepreneur and corporate executive of small and medium sized businesses, I have acquired practical experience in many business functions - personnel, accounting, banking, licensing, construction, contract law, litigation, etc. Even from the beginning of my career, I've been placed in critical, trusted responsible positions which required excellent technical background as well as organization and quick decision making abilities. Prior to attending college, my first full-time position was as the Senior Field Technician for a full-service banking security company which serviced the entire state of Colorado. This position required a "seat of your pants" independent thinking as well as a broad knowledge of film processing, electronics, mechanics, metals, locks and a personal bond for 1.5 million dollars with a thorough FBI background check. Throughout my business and engineering careers, I have devoted my efforts toward innovation, attainment of quality and efficiency in all aspects of business operations or designs. My respect and concern for quality have guided me in my choice of well-qualified people whom I can depend on, the promotion of quality-minded thinking, and the pursuit of quality information resulting in qualified decisions and useful innovations. I believe this philosophy has enabled me to distinguish myself from my peers and competitors and makes me a valuable asset to leadership.
