Dates for your diary
On Monday each child will get a card with spaces for stickers

Changing reading books
Each class has regular opportunities throughout the week to
change their reading books. Please read regularly at home
with your child and record your reading in their diary. Please
make sure their book and diary are in school every day. If your
child forgets to change their book, do not hesitate to remind
them and they can pop back into school to change it.
Scooter lessons at Marlborough
Last week all classes had the opportunity to have scooter
lessons to learn how to ride safely, be aware of pedestrians
and practise their scooter skills. It was a great opportunity for
learning for everyone.
Welcome to….
Mrs Davidson—Our new
Admin Officer
Goodbye to……
Lily Solari (Blue Class)
Daisy Seward (Yellow
Class)
We wish you all the best in
your new school.
Year R visit the Grays Café
Year R walked to the local café to find out how a café runs, what the staff do and how to order
and pay for a drink (and how to drink them too!) A big thank you to the staff at Grays Café for
letting us visit. We now have our own café set up in our classroom.
Health and Safety
Please support us in ensuring the school remains a safe and secure environment for our
children and visitors by ensuring your children follow the school behaviour expectations when
waiting in the front area of school before the bell goes this includes:

Ensuring your children disembark from scooters and bikes on entry through the school
gates. This will avoid any collisions or accidents.

Ensure that they stay in a safe place whilst they are waiting for the bell. Children are not
allowed past the coned area by the bins at anytime during the school day.
Changeable Weather - Reminder
As we are starting to experience warm weather please can you ensure you do the following;



Make sure your child has a named sun hat in school
Apply sun cream before coming to school
Continue to bring a waterproof jacket for spring showers.
Please be aware the school does not allow children to wear sun glasses.
Job Opportunities
We are currently recruiting a Play Leader/Lunchtime Supervisor: Please visit the school
website www.marlborough.hants.sch.uk and www.educationjobs.hants.gov.uk To find out
about opportunities within the school.
