You will return back to the UK on day 16. If you do not wish to travel then you are able to book your own flights at a reduced fundraising target. “Reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro is one of the greatest achievements of my life and I got to meet some great people along the way. It feels amazing to know what a difference the money we raised will make for the schools in the area. If you get a chance to do it, don't hesitate.” Jamie Boult, CK4K Edinburgh participant, 2013 Do I need to be an experienced mountaineer? No! Kilimanjaro is one of the few great mountains in the world where it is possible to reach the summit without any mountaineering skills. Training is recommended, but the vast majority of the ascent is walking, with a short scramble on the final section leading to the summit. Experienced guides will lead you all the way and porters will be on hand to help with your bags. You’ll need a good pair of boots, warm clothes and a lot of determination. Once you’ve got that, you’ll be on the summit in no time! unlock a child’s potential www.childreach.org.uk ? ts s o c e th e r a t a h W Your fundraising target is £2,650* This will include: • • • • • • • • • Return flight from London All overseas transfers All costs associated with climbing Kilimanjaro, including national park fees and hotels All meals on the trip The services of professional guides, porters and chefs Services of an English speaking representative in Tanzania A visit to one of our projects to see how your fundraising will help improve the lives of vulnerable children worldwide All accommodation as detailed in the itinerary A Certificate of Achievement *If you want to book your own flights then you will have a fundraising target of £1,950 Are there other costs?
