ecovillages 2016
Association ecovillages Case postale 307 – CH-1860 Aigle [email protected] ecovillages 2016 «Smart villages, technology meets with new ways of thinking» Echoing the topic of Smart Cities – an urban form capable of integrating evolving and emerging needs of institutions, companies, and its citizens at economic, social, and environmental levels, this year’s ecovillages forum will ask: what exactly is a Smart Village? How will villages use ICTs, Information and Communication Technologies, as well as technologies capable of optimizing natural resources and steering them towards a postfossil fuel society? What can they do to enhance their energy autonomy? How can these technologies be efficiently interconnected and exploited by today and tomorrow’s infrastructure? What collective vision could help anticipate and adapt to the “World 2.0,” its opportunities and needs, and at the same time integrate other economic, social, and environmental projects to improve the quality of life for the entire community? These and many other questions will be explored in this fifth edition of the ecovillages forum. Place and date: Les Diablerets, Maison des congrès, on Thursday, August 25, 2016 Time: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Maison des congrès and outdoors, debates starting at 9:30 a.m. Conference language: French with simultaneous translation into German and English Participation fee: 120 francs (entire day with breakfast, coffee breaks and meals).
