Notice - Waiver of Rights
Please DO NOT LEAVE ANY DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES. Do not leave your dogs in
unlocked cars. If any dogs are seen to be suffering from extreme temperatures where it is
confined without supervision, a California Humane Officer or a Security Officer will be notified to
handle the situation. Violators may be reported to the Event Committee for disciplinary action. All
persons attending these events hereby waive any claim for damages against the club or its
members, in the event a motor vehicle has to be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or
improperly vented conditions.

THE SHOW-GIVING CLUB or THE SHOW SECRETARY ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY for
any loss damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, spectators, or to any of their dogs or
property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to any child not under the control of their
parents or guardians.

NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS
Rules Applying to Dog Shows
Effective January 1, 2010
CHAPTER 11, SECTION 1.
No dog shall be exhibited in a licensed or member dog show, except for dogs entered in the
Miscellaneous Class unless it is either individually registered in the AKC Stud Book, or
individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigreed are acceptable for
AKC registration.

Directions to the Show
From I-80 East or West or 37 - Take Marine World Parkway. Go Left on Fairgrounds Drive. Go
Left into Fairgrounds. Expo building is in front of main entrance.
DAY-OF-SHOW PARKING
DAY-OF-SHOW PARKING is on the fairgrounds, in front of the main gate, Parking is free on
Friday. Note that NO ON-GROUNDS PARKING is available on Friday. Saturday & Sunday
parking is $10.00.
WARNING
If it is necessary to rescue a dog from a parked car on the show grounds, the club will not be
responsible or liable for any damage to the car!
Accommodations
The following motels will take well-mannered dogs. It is expected that you will clean up when
exercising you dogs. There may be an additional charge for dogs. Please verify pet policies when
making your reservation. Owners are responsible for damage and cleaning up after their dogs.
Dogs must be kept quite. Dog show exhibitors whose actions result in damage to hotel/motel
rooms may be subject to action by Event Committee. ALL DOGS IN MOTEL ROOMS MUST BE
CRATED WHEN OWNERS ARE NOT PRESENT.

Telegraph, Telephone and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted. Entries Not On Official
AKC Entry Forms, Downloaded and/or Photocopies Of Entry Forms without the
agreement and rules on the reverse of the Official AKC entry forms are NOT
ACCEPTABLE.
Mail All Entries With Fees to Carol Kent, Show Secretary, 6130 Monterey Hwy #92, San Jose,
CA 95138-1713. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement
of entries will be made as soon as practicable. Should such acknowledgement not be
received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please verify your entry with the Show
Secretary.

Please Print Clearly or type using black or blue ink. Do not use pencil or colored ink.
Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to Mission Trail Poodle Club, Inc. Canadian
exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. When you provide a check as payment,
you authorize us to either use information from your check to make a one-time electronic
fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check. Please mail checks
or money orders with entries. Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent
through the mail. Tabulate carefully. Due to cost of processing, no refunds $4.00 and under
will be made.
An AKC Recording Fee of $.50 first entry only and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per
entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show,
Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.00 will be required for
each entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. All Recording and Event Service
Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. (There is no Recording Fee or Event Service
Fee for Junior Showmanship, Sweepstakes, Futurities, Brace/Team, Multi-Dog
Classes or Special Attractions.)
Owners Are Responsible For Errors on entry blanks, for entering the same dog twice, or for
entering a dog in a class in which it is ineligible to compete, regardless of who makes such
entries. The Club assumes no responsibility for a wrong entry.
Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. If because
of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the
dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts
beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the event, no
refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to
snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances
including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and
egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount
importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the event before completion,
no refund of entry fee will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the
AKC Event Cancellation Hotline (877) 252-3229. DO NOT LEAVE ANIMALS IN A HOT
VEHICLE.
Post Dated Checks, Returned Checks and Declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid
entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check
or declined card. Subsequent returned checks or declined cards from the same exhibitors
may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.
No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however,
if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. An Administrative Fee of $2.00 will be
charged or withheld from refunds for duplicate entries.
An Administrative Fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the
closing of entries.

Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever
may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date.
Each Owner and Agent listed on the entry form and/or individual responsible for the dog at a
show is bound by the Certification and Agreement on the front and back of the entry form
regardless of who may have completed & submitted the entry form.
All Dogs Present must be kept on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or
when in the exercising ring.
Judges Will Not Wait For Any Dog Holding Up A Class. Owners or their agents alone are
responsible for the timely presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are
called to be judged.
Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for
further judging will be excused.
As specified in Chapter 12, Section 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information
contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This
information is also subject to publication in other media.
Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money
must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Show Secretary
advised at once. The Show Secretary and Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the
judging of the breed is over.
No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent
in which this dog show is conducted.
NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN ANY BUILDING AT ANY TIME.
ALL FIRE LANES MUST BE KEPT CLEAR IN ACCORDANCE TO FIRE DEPARTMENT
REGULATIONS.

Overnight RV Parking Information
$45 PER NIGHT - Thursday night parking payable (IN CASH ONLY) to fairgrounds parking
attendant between 3 P.M. and 10 P.M.
NO reservations required for Thursday night. However, the Security Guard MUST have a
list of those coming in on Thursday night. Call Carol Kent, (408) 464-6264, NO LATER
THAN SEPTEMBER 9, 2014 if you plan on arriving on Thursday evening.

Those wishing to park together must submit reservations together.
Trailer and motor homes with slide-outs, which will not fit within a twenty foot width will be
required to pay for two spaces.
Tag-along fee is $5.00 per vehicle (must fit within allotted space).
Two night reservations will be held until 10:00 A.M. Saturday.
Late arrivals will be parked where space is available.
Must vacate the premises by 9:00 P.M. Sunday, September 14, 2014.
Limited electrical hookups available; no water hookups.
Limited handicap parking is available (copy of handicap permit and license number
required).
All RVs must be completely self-contained.
Exhibitors are responsible for any damages and clean up of their parking spaces.
All vehicles will be parked facing the same direction.
All RVs using generators must have proper exhaust venting.
Discharging of grey water or sanitary tanks is NOT permitted.
Working fire extinguishers are required for each RV.

AGREEMENT
I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem
sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity
to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving
club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner
and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any
employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event,
harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any
person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance
thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree
to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the
aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including
death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on
account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however
such injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused

INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the
particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not
exceeding 13 in., over 13 in., but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies
(rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long
coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature,
standard).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions
of Record and dogs which, according to their owners' records, have completed the requirements for a championship,
but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is
limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a
championship.
3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog
is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are
entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a
registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for
which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the
registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer
application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rules refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as ““MIXED BREED.”
Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
