Now one cataract lens could
help you see it all.
SEE NEAR
The AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® lens, designed to give you a full
range of vision, could help you see everything more clearly,
from the type on this page to faraway landscapes. It’s sight
changing and life changing.
Ask your ophthalmologist if the AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® lens
is right for you.
CAUTION:
Restricted by law to sale by or on the order of a physician.
DESCRIPTION:
AcrySof® IQ Toric Intraocular lenses(IOLs) are artificial lenses implanted in the eye of adult patients following cataract surgery. These lenses are designed to
allow for clear distance, intermediate, and near vision with the potential to be more independent of the need to use glasses for daily tasks.
WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS:
You may experience and need to contact your eye doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms while using the antibiotic eye drops prescribed
by your doctor: itching, redness, watering of your eye, sensitivity to light. The safety and effectiveness of the AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® IOL has not been established
in patients with eye conditions, such as an increase in eye pressure (glaucoma) or complications of diabetes in the eye (diabetic retinopathy). As with any surgical
procedure, there are risks involved. These risks may include but are not limited to infection, damage to the lining of the cornea, the retinal layer which lines the
inside back wall of your eye may become separated from the tissue next to it (retinal detachment), inflammation or swelling inside or outside the eye, damage to
the iris (the colored diaphragm around the pupil), an increase in eye pressure that cannot be controlled by medicine and secondary surgical procedure. With this
IOL, there may be a loss of sharpness of your vision that may become worse in dim light or in foggy conditions. There is also a possibility that you may have some
visual effects such as rings or circles around lights at night. You may also have trouble seeing street signs due to bright lights or glare from oncoming headlights.
ATTENTION: As with any surgical procedure, there are risks involved. Prior to surgery, ask your eye doctor to provide you with an AcrySof® IQ ReSTOR® IOL
Patient Information Brochure, which will inform you of the risks and benefits associated with this IOL. Discuss any questions about possible risks and benefits
with your eye doctor.

astigmatism
Lift the fog and clear the blur
with one revolutionary lens.
Astigmatism doesn’t have the “you may always need
glasses” stigma it used to for cataract patients. Now you
could gain clear, sharp, quality distance vision with one
lens and one simple procedure.
It’s what you hope for in a cataract solution & more.
Ask your ophthalmologist if the AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL
is right for you.
CAUTION:
Restricted by law to sale by or on the order of a physician.
DESCRIPTION:
AcrySof® IQ Toric Intraocular lenses(IOLs) are artificial lenses implanted in the eye of adult patients following cataract surgery. These lenses are designed to
correct pre-existing corneal astigmatism, which is the inability of the eye to focus clearly at any distance because of difference curvatures on the cornea, and
provide distance vision.
WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS:
You may experience and need to contact your eye doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms while using the antibiotic eye drops prescribed
by your doctor: itching, redness, watering of your eye, sensitivity to light. The safety and effectiveness of the AcrySof® IQ Toric IOL has not been established in
patients with eye conditions, such as an increase in eye pressure (glaucoma) or complications of diabetes in the eye (diabetic retinopathy). As with any surgical
procedure, there are risks involved. These risks may include but are not limited to infection, damage to the lining of the cornea, the retinal layer which lines the
inside back wall of your eye may become separated from the tissue next to it (retinal detachment), inflammation or swelling inside or outside the eye, damage
to the iris (the colored diaphragm around the pupil), an increase in eye pressure that cannot be controlled by medicine and secondary surgical procedure.
A toric IOL corrects astigmatism only when it is placed in the correct position in the eye. There is a possibility that the toric IOL could be placed incorrectly
or could move within the eye. This may result in less improvement or a reduction in vision because your astigmatism has not been fully corrected, or it may
cause visual symptoms.
ATTENTION: As with any surgical procedure, there are risks involved. Prior to surgery, ask your eye doctor to provide you with an AcrySof® IQ Toric Patient
Information Brochure, which will inform you of the risks and benefits associated with this IOL. Discuss any questions about possible risks and benefits with
your eye doctor.

HEALTHCARE » Bochner Eye Institute
Founded by Dr. Maxwell Bochner in
1929, The Bochner Institute originally
operated as a referral centre for
complex eye disorders and diseases.
Specializing in ophthalmologic surgery,
The Bochner Institute is today led by
his grandson Dr. Raymond Stein, his
son-in-law Dr. Harold Stein, Dr. Albert
Cheskes, and Dr. Jordan Cheskes.
Well-recognized as an industry pioneer,
in 1991, The Bochner Institute became
one of the first Canadian practices to
conduct laser vision correction, now a
major focus of the private institution.
recently, the institute acquired the Catalys femtosecond laser, the first centre in Canada to do so,
which allows it to perform cataract surgery with
enhanced precision and results.
“This is considered by most ophthalmologists around the world to be the most significant
advance in cataract surgery in the last 50 years,”
Dr. Raymond Stein told The Canadian Business
Journal. “Traditional cataract surgery involves the
surgeon doing everything by hand, whereas this
laser can image the eye in exquisite detail. It is
more accurate than an MRI. As an example, there
is one step of the cataract operation in which the
surgeon makes the circular opening in the front
of the cataract called the capsulotomy. Surgeons
