2016 PROGRAM - Lake Minnetonka Sailing School
2016 PROGRAM REGISTER ONLINE at WWW.LMSS.US Zinn Family Sailors and Realtors CREWZINN Crew Zinn has been successfully navigating shifts in the wind and in the real estate market for many years. WELCOME to the 2016 SEASON! A s we prepare for our 2016 sailing season at LMSS, I want to thank you for being a part of this program, and to tell you about the wonderful work that your gifts and participation have made possible. Thanks to you, we are coming off a remarkable 2015 season with the energy and resources to build an even more successful season this year. Our highlights from 2015 include: • • • BUZZINN Our competititve spirit keeps us working hard, refining our skills and strategies so we win and our clients win. These successes would not be possible without persistent updates and improvements to our equipment and course offerings, as we adapt to the changing needs of our students. In 2016, we are taking a number of steps to continue to provide top-notch instruction at every level: • • • AMAZINN The result is that we sell twice as many homes in the Minnetonka School District than any other realtor... Amazing! LMSS continued its partnership with the Minnetonka Yacht Club to provide new developmental opportunities for our youth fleets. Our Race Team’s reputation for superb training continued to draw sailors from around the area. Enrollment was at a four-year peak, allowing for a spirited and competitive learning environment. The 2015 USODA Midwest Championship was held at LMSS in September. Nearly 70 sailors from across the country competed. LMSS will be taking delivery of six Hartley 12’s this spring. The Hartley 12 will provide a safe and fun training platform for sailors aged 10-13, and its robust construction makes it a longlasting and durable addition to our fleet. Our Recreational Camp classes have changed to provide more individual instruction. New age groupings for this season are 7-9, 10-12, and 13-16. We have added two additional Little Skipper classes (formally Pre-Pram). This popular class for sailors aged 5-7 has historically filled to capacity. Adding two classes gives us the opportunity to enroll more entry-level sailors while keeping our class size to just ten students. Thank you for being a part of LMSS. I’m excited for the upcoming season, and I look forward to sharing a summer full of learning, fun, and competition with you. We’ll see you soon on Lighthouse Island! JOIN US FOR OUR OPEN HOUSE!
