in 1996 and is a leading European company in
the field of Information and Communication

Steel construction
The steel construction sector, due to its vertical integration provides a full range of services which include: design,
planning, development, industrial production and installation of complex steel construction works.
The steel construction factory (formerly INTRAMET) was founded in 1987 and is counted among the most modern steel
and electromechanical construction factories in SE Europe. In 2005 INTRAMET merged with INTRAKAT, henceforth
consituting the Steel Construction sector of the company. The headquarters of the company is in Giannouli, Larissa in a
site with a total area of 130,000m2, (of which 30,000m2 are indoor facilites).
The company guarantees the provision of high quality competitive products and services in the Greek and international
markets through continual modernisation and the implementation of innovative methods, such as state of the art
production lines based on CAD/CAM applications with robotics and CNC/NC equipment. Possessing a fully-equipped
quality control and testing laboratory and a quality management program (with ISO 9001 certification) which ensures
full traceability throughout the full range of processes, certified environmental management (EN ISO 14001) and health
and safety (OHSAS 18001) systems, the company complies successfully even with the strictest international standards
EN ISO 3834–2 and provides the CE mark according to the requirements of the Construction Products Directive (89/106/
EEC) and execution class EXC 3/4, EN1090-1+A1 for construction materials.

INTRAKAT, investing in documented scientific
knowledge, is a sponsor of the Council for the
use of Waste Energy SYNERGIA. SYNERGIA is a
scientific and research council, a subsidiary of
