Andaluza de Traviesas S.A. (ANTRASA) is a company devoted to
manufacturing pre-stressed concrete sleepers for railways, with its Factory located at the town of Espeluy
(ANDALUSIA, SPAIN).
ANTRASA’s shareholders board is
made up of a group of Andalusian
entrepreneurs with an extensive expertise on several industrial sectors;
this group is fully committed to this
project.
Quality is an especially relevant aspect in activities which require such
a specialized technology .
ANTRASA is awarded with ISO
9001:2008 certification, with registration no. ES-0339/2005.
ANTRASA’s quality management
system comprises a map of procedures including support and key
strategies as well as technical work
instructions.
The company’s Environmental Management System has been certified
according to ISO 14001, with registration no. ES-2011/0339. This certification acknowledges ANTRASA’s
continuous efforts to minimize its
environmental footprint.

also because of the intensive quality control it requires. Therefore,
it is necessary to use cutting-edge
technology. Since its foundation,
ANTRASA has been improving and
innovating its production line. Currently the company masters the
most advanced production techniques and creates its own machinery design in order to guarantee
the best results.
ANTRASA has taken a stance for
innovation as a principle in today’s ever-changing business environment. ANTRASA’s R&D policy lines are:

Since its foundation, ANTRASA has been continuously researching for more efficient methods and materials.
Recently a new prefabricated track module valid for both ballasted
and slab track has been designed.

three different types of pre-stressed concrete sleepers for the Spanish National Railway Administration ADIF, which can be used in
high speed lines.
The production capacity of the Espeluy factory can easily meet the
demanding need for sleepers supply of the fast-growing Spanish
high speed railway network.
