Pulau Ketam (Crab Island)
The 30-minute boat ride to get to the island is a scenic one passing mangrove swamps, and birds such
as storks, herons and even eagles. On the island take a leisurely stroll around the village where you
can see locals processing seafood - from drying anchovies to shelling parboiled prawns. A hearty
lunch will be served at a restaurant here.
Sultan of Selangor’s palace
The Istana Alam Shah is the official residence of the Sultan of Selangor. Steeped in tradition and
history, this palace is where most royal ceremonies are conducted.
Blue Mosque
Known officially as the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, it was nicknamed the ‘Blue
Mosque’ due to its distinguished blue and silver dome. It is the largest mosque in the country, and the
second largest in Southeast Asia.
Thean Hou Temple
This temple is dedicated to the ‘Thean Hou’ goddess. The protector of fishermen and sailors, she is
revered by the global Hainan community which has a strong seafaring tradition. This six level Chinese
temple is located on 1.67 acres of land and is one of the biggest and most visually impressive in the
country.
