Michael Kennedy, President Ron Hicks, Vice President November 2007 Volume 5, Issue 1 Historic Site, Modern Feel One of Little Rock’s most historic and recognizable structures, the Capital Hotel, recently completed a remodel of its entire facility. The renovation will help further enhance this service, as guests will now also enjoy state of the art technology during their stay. Advanced provided and installed a full suite of offerings throughout the facility including; a new cabling infrastructure, fire alarm system, CCTV system, access control, and intercom system. Structured cabling included new category 5e voice and data cabling throughout the hotel, and connection of multiple distribution rooms with fiber optic cabling. This will allow guests to utilize high speed connections, for voice and data applications, from anywhere within the structure. The fire alarm system, which is a fully functional voice evacuation system, consists of multiple panels, on separate floors, being networked to a main fire alarm panel on the ground floor. Security for the renovated hotel did not stop here though.
