Party (cont’d), Meeting Chapter Information Sunshine Report Upcoming Events Presidents Message Members All, Denise and I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season shared with good friends and family. I cannot believe this newsletter will open my third term as President of the Chapter and while sometimes it can be a busy job, seeing the membership, becoming close friends, and sharing the fellowship of our events makes everything worthwhile. This issue I want to welcome, thank, and introduce to all our new Vice President, Brian Barberie. Brian has been a chapter member longer than I have and has a great background history with Oldsmobile and a great passion for our Oldses and also the Chapter. Brian and Jamie have been setting up the particulars for our Hanover show for a few years as they are in the area and know all the players. I welcome Brian as my right hand man, so to speak, but also want to thank John Rogers who served us as V.P. for the last few years. I would be remiss ( Wish I knew what that means?) if I did not also thank all of our officers who are continuing their roles in the chapter. Ken and Bev serve as Treasurer and Secretary and Ken also is newsletter editor along with many other duties throughout the season. They have announced this will be their last two year term in these positions so members please consider becoming more involved in the running of the chapter as we have grown from 30 to 68 members in the last four years. Your help is needed to make sure the future of this sport and chapter continues for many years to come. To all other officers and board members I thank you for continuing in your positions as past knowledge of our group is valuable for the present and the future as well. We will be looking for a chapter Membership Secretary beginning at the Spring meeting as Denise has been called back to work on call 24/7 weekdays and select weekends and this does not allow for much free time( Corporate America at it’s Finest) We again will have our 1st Quarter meeting at Funck’s Restaurant. It is important you attend to discuss the years business at this meeting. Show dates are almost set. Opening will be at the Texas Roadhouse in Palmyra on Sunday, May 1st. Carlisle GM Nationals, which will feature Oldsmobiles this year, is June 17th to the 19th. The Chapter Picnic will be July 16th at Casa del Saullo (Rich & Denise’s House). Our Olds, Buick and Pontiac show at Hershey is t.b.a. We will close at the Texas Roadhouse in Hanover Sunday, September 25th. Thanks to everyone who attended the annual Christmas Party it was a Blast and a great way to kick off the holiday season.
