On November 25, 2015, the First History Hall to introduce our footsteps, products and technology was completed and opened in the premises of our head office. Because the History Hall which opened in 1998 in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of our company became small, construction of two history halls had been planned, and this time, one of them, the First History Hall, was opened. In the First History Hall, they exhibit data and photos of our founder Hiroichi Hagimoto (1906 to 1974), and our history for the past 60 years from the foundation of our company to 1998. They also exhibit 97 Style Oil Gauge that was mass-produced during WWⅡ and became a model of our angle sensors and motor technology, letters written by the late actress Kyoko Kishida, who was evacuated to Iida during WWⅡ and engaged in the assembly of the oil gauges, and angle sensors used for the radio telescope in Nobeyama Cosmic Radio-waves Observatory of National Astronomical Observatory. The Second History Hall is under construction now, where our history in or after 1999 will be shown. From the terrace room in the Hall, you can overlook Yasuoka Village, where our founder was born, the South Japan Alps, and an urban area of Iida City. In spring, you can enjoy early-flowering cherry blossoms around the hall. Please visit the hall by all means. ●Address : 1879 Oyasumi, Iida, Nagano In the premises of the head office of Tamagawa Seiki Co., Ltd. ●Opening Hours : 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Reservation is required) ●Days Closed : Same as our holidays ※Please contact us for further information. ●Inquiry : TEL.0265-21-1800 TAMAGAWA NEWS 4 Information Events & Exhibitions 01 Special Equipment Exhibition & Conference for Anti-Terrorism 15 02 International Robot Exhibition 2015 Held at Tokyo Big Sight West Hall From Oct. 14(Wed.)to 16(Fri.) Held at Tokyo Big Sight East Hall From Dec. 2(Wed.)to 5(Sat.) We participated in this exhibition, the only one in this kind in Japan, which advocates the urgent theme of counterterrorism, focusing on the Summit Conference to be held in Japan in May, and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. We, for the first time, exhibited High precision surveillance camera equipped with a super sensitive high-definition camera (our model name: SA Type) , which was first adopted by Nanbu Town in Aomori Pref., and also was certified by Let s Buy Aomori , a certification program of Aomori Pref. P Type (small and lightweight), M Type (possible to load super-telephoto lenses), and all lineups of ATLAS Swivel Series were exhibited as well. In addition, IMU for virtual reality composition cameras , which was given a gold medal for the year 2015 by the Broadcast Culture Fund, attracted a great deal of attention. The number of visitors to our booth was about 20 % more than that of the previous exhibition, which shows how the interest of the market in our surveillance cameras is high. This exhibition is held every other year, and attended by domestic and foreign industrial/consumer robot manufactures and robot related product makers. During the four-day exhibition, a lot of people visited our booth and we have had many requests for our information materials and concrete business talks. We not only exhibited AC servo motors/drivers, step motors, rotary encoders, resolvers, MEMS gyros, which are useful for industrial robots, the demonstration device for synchronous control by AC servo driver (TAD8811+TA8414) and C language controller, and the demonstration device for two wire step motors but also gave a demonstration of TAG250 by using an IMU simulator. We believe the visitors to our booth were able to grasp the features of our products through our exhibition and demonstration. By making use of the requests and opinions given by the visitors, and by supporting our customers, we would like to further promote our business activities. ATLAS-kun Information Introduction of our sales office Aviation Equipment Sales Dept. of Sales Development Headquarters The Aviation Equipment Sales Dept. moved to our Second Office along with the inauguration of the Commercial Aircraft Business Dept. in fiscal year 2016. It started its business on the same floor as the Engineering Dept., Quality Assurance Dept., Material Procurement Dept., and Production Planning Dept. are situated. The number of sales staff of the Aviation Equipment Sales Dept. has been increased to 5, and they are engaging in sales activities specialized in products for commercial airplanes under the divisional organization system, the only system in our company. In the past, they have experienced such events as the delivery of B787 first aircraft to All Nippon Airways, the delivery of A350 to Qatari Airlines, the start of mass production of new air planes by two major aircraft makers, Boeing and Airbus, and the maiden flight of a Japanese jet MRJ of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Furthermore, they have started to supply our parts to the next-generation plane of Boeing, B737 MAX, as a long cherished Tier-1 supplier. While they are members of the Business Dept. of TSC, which is manufacturing parts for aircraft, they feel happy to do business with the world when they think that their products are built in airplanes and flying high up in the sky day and night. Ten-odd years have passed since we started a full-scale operation to introduce our technology cultivated in the defense-related industry into the commercial aircraft industry. We have been trying hard to establish a firm position in the world aircraft market. Now, let s pay attention to the recent tragic plane accidents. We still remember the crashes of German Wings and Trans Asia Airways that happened in 2015. It is very sad that many people are killed at a time in a plane accident whatever the cause may be. Our next target under the new divisional organization system is not only to provide our customers with better services but also to propose and supply qualityfirst products that eliminate tragedies by plane accidents and that promise steadfast security It is our dream and goal in the future that our products which are developed and manufactured in Iida, the mountainous city surrounded by beautiful nature, contribute to the production of dream airplanes on which future children can freely and safely travel all over the world. ●The Second Plant of TSC Address : 1020 Kega, Iida, Nagano Pref. 395-8520 TEL.+81-265-21-1814 FAX.+81-265-56-4108 TAMAGAWA NEWS 6 Top from left: Kitazawa, Kouda, Yamamoto (Overseas Sales Headquarters) Bottom from left: Toki, Shiroshita (Chief Administrator), Miyazaki (Managing Director), Takigawa (General Manager), Tsuzuku TAMAGAWA NEWS ●Vol.16/2016.3 ●TAMAGAWA TRADING CO., LTD.
