Layering Technology that allows the hunter or outdoor

THE SCIENCE OF THERMAL LAYERING
Base layers are extremely important in our all of our systems. This layer sits against the skin,
keeping warmth close to the body and an effective layering system consists of three layers that
work together to insulate, manage moisture and protect from the elements in all conditions.
Depending on your activity, we have various styles of base layers. Comfortable enough to wear
solely as a layer after shedding outer layers when temperatures rise. Quality outer fibers allow
your base layer to slip on and off with ease. High quality textured outer fibers have amazing
heat-retaining qualities as the temperature plummets.

As hunters, we don’t rely on having to go to the grocery store for our meat. At Plythal, we have never understood
why we would be asked to purchase gear that has been sourced by countless proxy middle men in foreign
countries, with every hand it touches driving the prices up and the quality down. We saw a gap between
affordable pricing and premium hunting gear. We set out to build a true layering system that would stand up to
any type of hunting situation, and to do it with the average hunter in mind. Whether you are a weekend warrior or
spend 200 days afield each year, there is no reason that you can’t have access to premium gear to protect you
from even the harshest environments.
So with this mindset, we built a team of engineers that were instructed to work hands on in the entirety of
the resourcing and manufacturing process. All the design would be created by hunters, true outdoorsmen who
understand what it takes to brave the elements and be successful in the field. We understand, the only way to
truly guarantee premium gear is the end product and to make it possible to keep the pricing affordable instead
of paying the outrageous markup of some of the other companies in this industry.

HOW TO TAKE CLOTHING MEASUREMENTS
1. Get a flexible measuring tape. These
are often sold in craft stores.
2. NECK: Measure around the base of the
neck in inches.
Round up to the nearest half inch.
3. CHEST: Wrap tape measure under
armpits around fullest part of chest
4. SLEEVE: Bend your elbow and rest your
hand on your hip. Have someone
measure from the middle of the
back of your neck to your wrist by
putting the tape measure over your
shoulder, around your elbow and to
your wrist.

5. WAIST: Wrap tape measure around
where you normally wear your
pants. Keep tape measure a little
loose by keeping a finger between
the tape measure and your waist.
6. INSEAM: Put on a pair of shoes. Have
someone measure from your crotch
to back of the heel, where you want

7. HANDS: Measure around the hand at
the fullest part (exclude thumb).
